This procedure explains various ways to raise a request for the shifting of the electric transformer.
Apply In-Person:

  1. To apply In-Person, you should visit the allocated EB office for your location. You can find the office location and contact details in the “PowerLak” website. Location and Contacts
  2. While applying In-Person, the consumer should obtain the application from the authorities in the office.
  3. You can also write the request letter mentioning the reasons for the shifting the electric transformer.
  4. Make sure you have all the documents mentioned in the “Required Documents” section.
  5. The request letter/Complaint form and the required documents should be submitted to the officials in the Electricity Board such as ASSISTANT ENGINEER (AE) or JUNIOR ENGINEER (JE).
  6. The authorities will go through the application form and provide an estimate of the amount to be paid to the Electricity Board.
  7. The estimated amount has to be paid in the Demand Draft (DD).
  8. After giving the form, they will provide you the Complaint Number and the payment slip with the “Acknowledgement of Complaint” form.
  9. You have to keep those details safe for future verification and reference purposes.


Apply Online:

  1. You can raise a request for a shift of the electric transformer in the official “PowerLak” Website Address
  2. You have to select the “Register Complaints” menu from the main webpage.
  3. It will take you to the Complaint Registration page.
  4. In that, you have enter the details such as,
    • Choose the Island
    • Consumer Code
    • Name of the Complaint
    • Location
    • Complaint (select the type from drop-down menu)
    • Complaint Date and Time (Auto-generated)
    • Captcha Code (shown in the box)
  5. After entering the details, you have to submit the registration by selecting “File the Complaint” button.
  6. If you are a registered user, you have to follow the same steps by “signing in” using the “User-Id and Password” from the “Customer Login” page from the main page. Registered User sign-in page
  7. You will receive the Complaint Reference Number post submitting the complaint.
  8. You have to save these details for future verification and reference purposes.


Apply through Consumer care:

  • You can raise your request for the shifting of the electric transformer through the Consumer care Number - 04896-263709.

To request a shift in the transformer, the eligibility criteria are:

  • You should have an electricity connection in the mentioned location/sub-division.
  • You should be residing in the mentioned area for “shifting the electric transformer.”



FeesEdit

The approximate fee structure for the shifting of the electric transformer by the Lakshadweep Electricity Board is,

  • Shifting of poles on consumer request- Rs.1500
  • Meter shifting charges (within the premises on consumer request) - Rs.1000

  • The authorities of the local Electricity board will take a survey and give the estimated processing time for the shifting.
