Apply In-Person:

  1. To apply for a Tenant Verification in Ladakh, get the Tenant Verification form from the nearest Police Station.
  2. Link for contact details:Police station.
  3. Duly sign the form and submit the form at the nearest Police Station.
  4. In the form, Fill the required details of the Landlord and Tenant.
  5. Fill the details of either any one of the following Id Proof: Passport, Driving License, Arms License, Ration Card, Voter Card, Income Tax (Pan No.).
  6. Attach a passport size photo of the Tenant and a copy of the Id Proof.
  7. Pay the appropriate fees as quoted.
  8. The Police would fill and give you the acknowledgement receipt.
  9. Receive the acknowledgement receipt and keep it safe for further reference.
  10. Visit the Police Station to get the report once it is ready.

Need for the DocumentEdit

  • Under any circumstances, it is advisable to apply for a Tenant verification certificate before you rent out your Building to a Tenant.
  • Terrorists and Criminals usually try to rent a place with forged documents. Thus, conducting a Tenant Verification would ensure that you are renting your building to someone who is not troublesome.

  • This protects the Tenant from involving in any criminal activities in the near future, since their records are stored with the police.
