The application will depend on ones job group and the ability to repay at five per cent per  year on reducing balance. The maximum loan eligibility shall depend on ones job group and ranges between Ksh4 million and Ksh20 million for job group A to U respectively. The maximum loan that may be granted shall be based on the ability to pay and shall be payable through check off system, the principal secretary observed.

The Civil Servants Housing Scheme Fund (CSHSF) is an initiative by the government to facilitate its employees to own houses. This is in line with the Housing Policy which calls for employers to facilitate their employees to access housing.

  1. The applicant should apply by filling an application form for the loan through the Administrator of the Civil Servants Housing Scheme Fund (CSHSF).
    A. An application for a loan for construction purposes shall be accompanied by the following documents where applicable—
