Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. To apply for a Domestic help verification in Karnataka, Purchase the Application form from the nearest KarnatakaOne Centre One Center Locator.
2. The form is also available on the Udupi Police Website Application Form.
3. Write the S.No.: 4 or the specified number for servant verification Purpose.
4. Fill in the required details and attach a Passport size Photo and Duly sign the form.
5. Attach a photocopy of the required Id Proof.
6. Pay the required Processing fee at KarnatakaOne Centre.
7. Print the Receipt and attach it with the Application Form.
8. Submit the form at the Commissioner’s Office at the specific counter for Domestic help Verification.
9. Receive the acknowledgment receipt and keep it safe for further reference.
10. Visit the Commissioner’s office to enquire about the status of the application.
11. Collect the report from the Commissioner’s Office once it is ready.
    

Note: Carry the original Id proofs to the police station for any necessary cross verifications to be made.

• Nationality
• Date of Birth and Age
• Address to be Verified
• Period of Stay in the Above Address
• Permanent Address
• Name of Jurisdiction of Police Station
• Contact Number
• Passport Number with Validity
• One Chellan number
• Details of Criminal Cases if any

Need for the Document

• While employing a person for domestic help, it is highly advisable to apply for a Police verification report of the said person to ensure your safety.
• When one applies for this Verification, the police runs a complete background check on the person to be employed and their details are stored with the police.
• This protects the employee from involving in any criminal activities in the near future.
• The police verification report also gives information about any troublesome activities of the servant in their previous workplace.

• Servants have access to the employer’s most important details, and one could easily become a victim of servant crime if they do not conduct police verification before hiring them.
• Usually, in the event of a servant crime, the police would be left with zero information about the servant's details. However, a servant verification process would help the police to track such crimes.
