Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. To Adopt Zoo Animal in Jharkhand, the applicant has to approach the Zoo Office.
2. The address of the Zoo in Jharkhand can be obtained from the “Office Locations and Contacts” Section of this page.
3. After visiting the office, applicant has to approach the Zoo office to obtain the Adoption form.
4. Choose an Animal for Adoption and level of support.
5. After entering the necessary details, submit the form at the Zoo office/concerned Zoo in charge.
6. Pay the appropriate fees in cash/cheque/DD at the Zoo office.
7. Once payment is transferred successfully, Adoption certificate will be issued.

Apply through Centres:

1. To Adopt a Zoo Animal in Jharkhand, the applicant shall visit the nearest CSC/Tehsil Centre. Find contacts to CSC centres in the link provided:Link
2. Procure the application form from the concerned centre and fill it up with the necessary details required for adoption.
3. Make sure to attach all the "Required Documents" along with the application form before submission.
4. Provide authorized signatory and photograph, wherever applicable.
5. Now submit the application to the office of the concerned centre.
6. On successful verification, the applicant will be notified by the CSC centre.

Any individual/organisation can Adopt Zoo Animal after paying the appropriate fee.

Privileges of Adopting a Zoo Animal:

• All Adoptions are eligible for Income Tax deduction under section 80G of the IT Act, 1961.
• Adoption Certificate will be given to Adopters.
• Complimentary passes depending upon the level of support.
• Name of the individual/organisation will be displayed at the enclosure of the Adopted Animal.
