  5. Applicant can access the online services in clarifying any of his doubts in applying for registration of firm
  6. Applicant shall use the link here for options to help in registering the firm : link. In the given page, select MCA SERVICES menu. This menu has list of options to cater applicant’s requirement. Please choose the required services online.

Apply Online through State Portal: - Jammu and Kashmir Register a Firm or Company through State Portal Online With Images

  1. To register a firm visit the official website Official website
  2. In the given page, use the register menu option to register.
  3. Registered user shall use the “Partnership Firm Registration” option provided under avail services at the bottom of the page to get login page.
  4. Login using the credentials.
  5. Applicant has to follow the new page prompt for providing prompted details, uploading of required documents and payment of fees as applicable.
  6. Applicant after completes the applying procedure will get an acknowledgement. Please keep it safe for future reference.
  7. This submitted application will be processed internally.
  8. Notification about the progress or requirement of additional details will be sent to applicant through sms or email.
  9. All verification and checking of provided details are satisfactory, applicant receives notification about issuance of certificate.



Through Charted Accountant

  1. Company or firm registration can be initiated with the help of a Charted accountant.
  2. In registering the company, one has to make sure that the name proposed has not already been used or applied for registration.
  3. Digital signature certificate for the director of the proposed firm has to be acquired.
  4. Then Acquire Director Identification Number (DIN).
  5. Filing an e-Form or New user registration.
  6. Finally Incorporation of the company is done.
  7. Applicant will get MOA and certificate.



Apply In Person:

  1. To Register a Firm or Company in Jammu and Kashmir, the applicant has to approach Ministry of Corporate Affairs link
  2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer. Or, the applicant can download the application form from the following link link
  3. The applicant has to enter all the necessary details in the application form (Incomplete application forms are not accepted)
  4. Make sure that the applicant has to attach all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. The applicant has to submit the permission letter along with the application form.
  6. The authority will review the application form.
  7. The concerned office will intimate the applicant about the fee amount.
  8. After the successful completion of payment, the concerned officer will issue the acknowledgment receipt as a proof of payment.
  9. The processing time of this procedure completes within a week.

FeesEdit

  • In the case of Private Limited or Public Company, the government fee is based up on the Authorized / Nominal Capital of the company.

ValidityEdit

  • The approved company name should be submitted before incorporation or within 6 months of the name being made available.
  • The registration of a firm is valid forever until the government has any changes to incorporate.

Need for the DocumentEdit

  • Private Limited Company is the most prevalent and popular type of corporate legal entity in India. To register a private limited company, a minimum of 2 shareholders and 2 directors are required. Foreign nationals, corporate entities or NRIs are allowed to be Directors and/or Shareholders of a Company with Foreign Direct Investment, making it the preferred choice of entity for foreign promoters.
  • The Companies Act of 1956 sets down rules for the establishment of both public and private companies. In India any business can be registered with the government in order to get contract work from the government and other bodies where a registered company is entitled to do sub contract or contract work.
  • Registration of company will help in curbing formation of another company in same name. This registration will help government to collect tax from the right owner. Also, in case of penalising, the registration helps in identifying the right person.
