Procedure

A land Valuation certificate will help in working out its fair and reasonable current market value.

Apply In-Person:

1. To get land valuation certificate applicant shall approach Tehsildar office in whose jurisdiction the land is situated.
2. Link for the office contact details: link please use the menu option “Districts” to select the respective state from drop down list to reach respective portal. In the given page select menu “About district” > “Who’s who” OR “DIRECTORY > PUBLIC UTILITIES > Municipalities” for contact details.
3. The applicant need to fill in all the necessary details.
4. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
5. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
6. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. #If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
7. An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
8. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
9. If required, the department will conduct the physical inspection of the premises/area to make sure, that the said premises/area don’t fall under the restricted zone for issuance of a license.
10. Based on the outcome of the above report, recommendation, and other internal processing, the designated authority will grant the license with his/her seal and signature.
11. The license will be hand delivered, sent through post to the address mentioned while applying, or issued as per applicable norms.
12. This entire process can be completed in 30- 60 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

Note:The valuation for a land can be obtained instantly but to get a certificate being signed by the nodal authority will take time.

• The land valuation certificate may be used as collateral for availing education loans from banks.
• The land valuation certificate may be required for income tax purposes.
• The land valuation certificate is a necessary legal document which is the certification that the property/land has been entered in to the Register of Land Values.
