Apply In-Person

  1. To purchase the Factories Corporation of Jamaica (FCJ) land by either lease or sale, in terms of an Unsolicited Expressions of Interest i.e., not in terms of advertised property by the FCJ, you can submit your complete application to the FCJ office for processing, please view their contact details via this link: Link
  2. 'Once you have identified a property that you are interested in, write an unsolicited expression of interest (EOI) addressed to the FCJ’s General Manager clearly stating the following:
    • The intended use
    • The particulars of the party/s making the request
    • A purchase offer for the land
  3. Submit your EOI to the FCJ’s office in person or you can send it via their email address to the address provided in the “Office Locations and Contacts” section below
  4. Upon receiving your application, the FCJ will verify your application and send you feedback outlining the next steps to be taken regarding your application, within one week of receipt of the request
  5. You will be required to conduct a valuation on the property you are interested in using a certified property valuator and submit a purchase offer to the FCJ based on the valuation of the property
  6. Upon submitting your purchase offer, the FCJ will review the offer through the National Land Agency (NLA)within two to four weeks of receipt of the purchase offer to ascertain the land value
  7. Then after the NLA valuation, the FCJ will advertise the property and conduct a competitive bidding or tender exercise on the property and you will be required to submit a proposal in keeping with the advertisement
  8. Then the FCJ will issue an award based on the bidding and then negotiate an offer of purchase with you within four to six weeks of the bid
  9. Once FCJ accepts your final bid, they will forward it to the relevant ministry for ministerial approval
  10. If approved and the FCJ is satisfied with your application, they will issue you an agreement of sale or lease of the property and you will need to visit the FCJ’s office to collect your copy of the final executed agreement
