Apply In-Person

  1. To apply for Private Special Vehicle Permit in Daman and Diu the applicant has to approach the RTO office to which his area belongs to.

  5. Make sure you have completed application form for Private Service Vehicle Permit. : Application form
  6. Application forms can be obtained from the appropriate RTO offices that can be completed and presented with appropriate fees
  7. Please make sure you have all the documents that are listed down the “Required Document” section of this page.
  8. Present the completed application forms in one of the counter and pay the appropriate fee where the officials would start processing your application.
  9. After checking the vehicle for its correctness and other appropriate requirements the application will be processed. Important verifications for the permit includes Vehicle condition, Meter for fare, seating arrangements etc., will be carried by authorities.

Apply Online:

  1. To apply for Special Vehicle Permit in Daman & Diu, the applicant shall visit the following link:Link
  2. Enter login credentials and captcha, if already a user, otherwise, click on the "Register Now" button on the webpage.
  3. Provide all the necessary details required for registration and sign up.
  4. On a newly opened page, select state and choose an appropriate option for a duplicate vehicle fitness certificate.
  5. After that, fill out all the necessary details in the fields provided to proceed further.
  6. Now provide the "Required Documents" and make the payment (if any) to apply.
  7. A registration number will be sent to the email ID and phone number of the applicant after successful application.
  8. Obtain the permit from the portal or from the concerned office.



Apply through Centres:

  1. To apply for a special vehicle permit in Daman & Diu, the applicant shall visit the nearest CSC/Tehsil Centre. Find contacts to CSC centres in the link provided:Link
  2. Procure the mandatory application form from the concerned centre and fill it up with the necessary details required for the permit.
  3. Make sure to attach all the "Required Documents" along with the application form before submission.
  4. Provide authorized signatory and photograph, wherever applicable.
  5. Make the requisite payment required for the process (if applicable).
  6. Now, submit the application to the office of the concerned centre and obtain the acknowledgement slip.
  7. After successful verification, the special vehicle permit will be granted by the concerned authority.
  8. Obtain the permit from the concerned CSC centre by showing the acknowledgement slip.

Need for the DocumentEdit

  1. Special permits are granted to those Transport Vehicles which intends to ply to a State other than the Home State. Special Permits are issued in some special occasion and remain valid for a very limited period or for one round trip.
  2. An application for a permit to use a motor vehicle as a private service vehicle shall contain the following particulars, namely:--
    • Type and seating capacity of the vehicle
    • The area or the route or routes to which the application relates
    • The manner in which it is claimed that the purpose of carrying persons

Information which might helpEdit

  1. One needs to provide the declaration to use the vehicle only for faring employees or laborers of a Company/Firm/Institute to ferry them to the place of business or back.
  2. Disproportionate asset case should not be pending against the vehicle for issue of permit.
