- Go to the county clerk office where you plan to file.
- Present and submit required documents.
- Complete the information needed.
- Pay the marriage license fee.

EligibilityEdit
- Both applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
- For one or both applicants who are 17 years old, parents or guardians must be present for consent.
- For one or both applicants who are younger than 17 years old, a court order granting permission to obtain a marriage license is required.
Note: The State of Indiana no longer requires applicants to present a blood test.

ValidityEdit
The marriage license is valid for 60 days in Indiana. If you do not get married within 60 days, your license will be void and you will need to reapply.
An Indiana marriage license may not be used in another state or country.
There is no legal waiting period to obtain a marriage license and no witnesses are required.

InstructionsEdit
Application for a marriage license must be made in the county where at least one of the two applicants live. Both applicants must apply in person and provide proper identification.
Out of state residents must apply in the County where the wedding ceremony will take place.

Marriage ceremonies may be solemnized by any of the following:
- A member of the clergy of a religious organization (even if the cleric does not perform religious functions for an individual congregation), such as a minister of the gospel, a priest, a bishop, an archbishop, or a rabbi.
- A Judge, Mayor - within the Mayor's county, a Clerk or a Clerk-Treasurer of a city or town - within a county in which the city or town is located, or a Clerk of the Circuit Court.
