Note: If your RC is stolen or lost, you have to file a complaint and get FIR copy from police station. In case of damaged or toned RC, you don't have to make complaint. The damaged remains will be required to apply.

Apply In-Person for the duplicate RC for the one stolen / lost

  1. As a first step please go to the local police station and file an FIR and bring a copy of it to the RTO office.
  2. To obtain duplicate vehicle registration in Haryana the applicant has to approach the RTO office to which his area belongs to.

  4. Application form can be downloaded using the following link: Application forms
  5. Make sure you have completed application form26A. Application forms can be obtained from the following link : form 26
  6. You need to bring your vehicle for physical verification as required
  7. Also make sure you have all the necessary documents to process the application
  8. Application forms can also be obtained from the appropriate RTO offices that should be completed and presented with appropriate fees.
  9. Present the completed application forms along with documents in one of the counter and pay the appropriate fee where the officials would start processing your application.
  10. Authorities will inspect the vehicle – Chassis number particularly
  11. If the details and documents are in place then the authorities will process the application further

Apply In-Person to replace damaged RC

  • In this process the applicant has to bring the damaged or toned pieces of original RC to submit and don’t require police certificate (FIR) and follow the steps as mentioned above

Apply Online - Haryana Obtain Duplicate Vehicle Registration Certificate Online with Images

  1. First one has to make sure that all the required documents are in hand to apply online.
  2. In order to apply online for LLR, please follow the link online portal link
  3. Select “Haryana” in the drop down menu against “Please select the State from where the service is to be taken”
  4. In the next window, please click “Apply online” to select “New Learners License” option
  5. The following screen gives you the general information to apply. Here please hit “Continue” to get the next screen. Here, Please enter / select appropriate option and click “Submit” to get the new page to apply online by filling the prompted details and click “submit” at the bottom of the form to process the application.
  6. Please take printout of Acknowledgement

Printing application

  • You can take printout of online application form with the help of the link: please follow the link online portal link
  • Select “Haryana” in the drop down menu against “Please select the State from where the service is to be taken”
  • In the next window, please click “Download Forms” to select “Print application form” option
  • Please enter your application number in the next window and hit ”Submit” follow the next window to get the printout.

Appointment

  • You can book appointment with RTO using the following link online appointment link
  • Please click “Appointment (Slot Booking)” to select “Learners License Test” option
  • In the new window select appropriate option to process your request to book appointment.

  3. Remains of certificate in case of torn / mutilated
  4. 2 Photograph of the applicant with vehicle clearly showing number plate
  5. Pollution under control certificate
  6. Copy of the Registered certificate (If you have one)
  7. Valid Insurance Certificate.
  8. Proof of address (any one of the following): Ration Card / Electoral Roll / LIC Policy / Affidavit sworn by the applicant before an Executive or First Class Judicial
  9. Pencil traced “Chassis Number” is the primary detail for applying
  10. Aadhaar card

Need for the DocumentEdit


  1. All the vehicles need to be registered as per the Motor Vehicle Act, 1988. The vehicles are provided with unique registration number. Once the vehicle is registered, a certificate is issued to the owner. The registration certificate is used as a proof for authorized owner of the vehicle.
  2. If the Registration certificate is lost, stolen, damaged or misplaced then one need to apply for a duplicate registration certificate for Vehicle
  3. After one register his / her vehicle – He / She will receive a unique number to use it in number board
  4. When a bike owned by an individual sold to another person – the name transfer has to be made with the authorities concerned
