Guntur - Obtain Caste Certificate

Procedure[edit]

  1. Application form for Caste certificate can be collected from nearby Meeseva center by paying Rs.10. Following link can provide you list of Meesva Centers : Meeseva center link
  2. Application form can be downloaded from the link : Forms link
  3. Application for caste certificate: Link for form
  4. Fill the application form and attach all the required documents.
  5. Go to your Meeseva centre and submit the Application and documents along with fees. Meeseva operator will do online process.
  6. The applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement. The applicant will also get transaction number as text message on his registered mobile number.
  7. The Thaasildhaar will handover the application details to MRO or VRO to do ground level verification. Based on the report after verification, Thaasildhaar will issue the caste certificate
  8. To know the status , applicant can use the link  : Status Link
  9. Applicant has to fill the application number and transaction id to know the current status of his application
  10. The applicant can pick up the certificate in the office where it was applied.

  • Proof of Address
  • Notary affidavit on Rs.10/- Non judicial stamp paper
  • 2 different Gazette Officers certification
  • Attested copy of T.C
  • Previous Caste Certificate of either applicant or blood relatives on if any, Sangam Certificate

Eligibility[edit]

  • Applicant must belong to reserved category as Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Other backward Community.
  • Applicant must be an Indian citizen.
  • Applicant must be residing in state Andhra Pradesh.
  • Applicant should complete age of 3 years to apply for community certificate.
Note : Please check all eligibility criteria then also check list of documents required for applying for community certificate.



Fees[edit]

  • Application Fee Rs.10
  • Application submission and certificate charges Rs.35 at Meeseva centres



Validity[edit]

Certificate is valid for your entire life

Processing Time[edit]

  • It may not exceed 15 days for all communities except the Scheduled Tribes.
  • For the Scheduled Tribes, the maximum limit is 30 days.

Need for the Document[edit]

  • Community Certificate is also known as caste certificate. Community certificate is a legal proof of community that the person to whom it is being issued belongs to reserved community like scheduled caste, scheduled tribe and other backward classes.
  • Caste certificate is an important certificate to avail certain benefits provided by Government for the socially backward communities in education and employment opportunities for their betterment.
  • Students especially require the caste certificates to secure their seat in institution
  • This is valid for securing admission in all Educational Institutions and other professional institutions and also for employment.



Information which might help[edit]

  • This certificate can be used for several years.
  • An individual cannot change his / her caste once he/she issued the caste certificate. However, while converting into another religion, the class may change necessitating a new caste/community certificate.
NOTE : It is a punishable offense to try with fraudulent documents to get a community certificate
