Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Revoke or Cancel Fish Sanitary Certificate in Ghana, the applicant has to approach the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development.

3. Applicant must obtain the application form from the MOFAD department.
4. The applicant must fill up the application form as directed and submit it to the concerned authorities.
5. The applicant has to make sure he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
6. The fees for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
7. The applicant must provide all the required documents to the authorities for validation and also pay the requisite application fees.
8. Submit the completed application form and pay the required application fee and submit the receipt as proof of payment.
9. This application will be processed and information will be verified by the MOFAD..
10. If the verification is successful, the notification will be sent to the applicant.
11. After getting the notification from concerned authorities, applicant can visit the office to collect their document.
12. If there is no information regarding the application, then, the applicant can visit the office to know the status of the application.
13. The Chief Fisheries Officer may refuse to issue a Revocation of Fish Sanitary Certificate. Any person aggrieved by the refusal of Chief Fisheries Officer may appeal to the Minister within 30 days from the date of refusal by way of petition stating the facts and grounds for appeal.
