Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. To Renew a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Facility in person, the applicant must go to the Ghana Medical and Dental council or Pharmacy Council Ghana or Food and drugs authority (FDA) regional office in Ghana Contact link or Contact link
2. Applicant must obtain the renewal application form from the relevant department.
3. Applicant must fill all the details in the application form.
4. The applicant has to make sure he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
5. The fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
6. Submit the completed form in two copies along with the supporting documents to the respective office.
7. This application will be processed and information will be verified by the authority.
8. If the Expert committee formed by the authority is satisfied that all the conditions are met as required for the application, the applicant will be notified of the outcome and issued with the renewal certificate by the register/authorized official.
9. Generally, the processing time for this procedure takes 1 month.

• Individuals, Businesses, or companies that wish to operate a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Facility are required to be registered and licensed by the Authority to be able to operate.
