Apply In-Person:
- To Obtain Import Licence (Permit) for Plants in person, the applicant has to approach the Ministry of Food and Agriculture.

- Applicant must obtain the application form from the relevant department.
- Fill up the appropriate application form as described by the Ministry of Food and Agriculture.
- Application to import Plant Licence must be made in the name of a person or a corporation and submitted on a standard form.
- The application form must be submitted together with other required documents and the proposed varieties of plants to be imported which must comply with minimum standards as specified in layout plans of the Plant import process and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
- After filling the form proceed to pay the prescribed fee. Please make sure that the applicant has to pay the fees that are listed down the “fees” section of this page.
- Submit the dully filled in form and attached with pay slip to the Crop inspection Officer in charge or Plant inspector office whose officers shall carryout inspection of the applicant’s Plants to be imported.
- This application will be processed and the information will be verified by the MOFA.
- If the verification is successful, the notification will be sent to the applicant.
- After collect his/her Plant import Licence certificate from where he/she application was submitted within 14 days from the date the application was received at ministry of Agriculture industries and fisheries in case there is no rejection.

- Any person carrying out Plant export business in Ghana jurisdiction except those who are exempted under seed and Plant Act 2006 are eligible to obtain import license for Plants.

- License fees GHS. 50,000.

- This permit validity is for 6 months.
