Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To renew the Driving School license, the applicant must visit the Land Transport Authority (LTA) Fiji. Contacts Link
2. The “Application to Register a Driving School New/Renewal” form must be obtained from the authorities in the LTA office or else you can download it from the website. Application Form
3. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section.
4. The application form should be filled with necessary details and along with the required documents it should be submitted to the CSO – Customer Service Officer.
5. The CSO will collect the Drivers Instructor Permit (DIP) course fees while submitting the application, which is $710.87.
6. The application will then be forwarded to the standard compliance officer, and they will update the theory exam results in the system.
7. After that the applicant must appear for the practical exam and the details of the practical driving test will also be updated in the LTA system.
8. The CSO will then create application for DIP, and now the applicant must pay the DIP application fee, which is $9.48.
9. After the fee payment, the application will be forwarded to the RM, MSC, and GMO for verification.
10. Finally, the CSO will approve the driving school renewal license application. (At this point, if the application gets rejected, then the “Rejection Letter” will be issued to the applicant stating the reason.)
11. The permit approval letter will be issued to the applicant, and now the permit fee must be paid, which is $27.00.
12. After paying the permit fee, the Compliance officer will print the Driving School permit renewal certificate.
13. Finally, the driving school renewal permit will be issued to the applicant by the Compliance officer in LTA.
14. The processing time for the process will be intimated to the applicant while applying.

Eligibility

• The applicant must have a valid AMVD license to apply for the driving school license renewal permit.

Need for the Document

• The driving school license must be renewed at least 28 days before the date of the expiry.
• It is a legal procedure to be followed compulsorily. Otherwise, the driving school license will be cancelled by the LTA.
