ProcedureEdit

Apply In-Person:

  1. To register as a skilled professionals in Fiji, the applicant must visit the Ministry of Commerce, Trade, Tourism, and Trade in Fiji. Contacts
  2. The application form to register as a skilled professional must be obtained from the authorities in the Ministry of Commerce, Trade, Tourism, and Trade office, or else it can downloaded from the official website. Form
  3. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  4. The application form must be filled with necessary details, and then submit it to the evaluator in the Ministry of Commerce, Trade, Tourism, and Trade office.
  5. The prescribed application fee for the procedure must be paid along with the application form.
  6. Also, the applicant must submit the document checklist form along with the application form.Document Checklist
  7. After the application is submitted, it will be verified by the Skilled Professional Evaluation Committee in the office.
  8. If the evaluating team finds the applicant is suitable for the any of the skilled professionals in Fiji, the registration as the Skilled Professional will be approved by the evaluation committee.
  9. The processing time will be intimated to the applicant while applying.

  • Any skilled person can apply, as long as their skills are sufficiently scarce within Fiji.

  • The prescribed fee for this procedure will be intimated to the applicant while applying.
  • The appeal fee is $1083 VEP.

  • The validity of the registration will be mentioned by the committee in the registration form.
  • The registration must be renewed before it expires.

Need for the DocumentEdit

If a skilled professional wants to practice their profession in Fiji, they must compulsorily get the approval as well as registration certificate from the Fiji government.

Information which might helpEdit

  • If the registration is rejected by the committee, the applicant can appeal after getting the rejection letter.
  • However, the applicant must appeal within 20 working days after getting the rejection letter.
  • The conditions of the appeal are:
  • It should be in writing.
  • It must be clearly and concisely set out the grounds for the appeal.
  • The appeal letter must be accompanied by the prescribed fee of (FJD) $1083 VEP.
  • The appeal letter then be sent to the Prime Minister.


Other uses of the Document/CertificateEdit

The skilled professional registration certificate will be considered as the proof document in any of the verification or complaints.
