Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. The Police Clearance Form must be applied at the Fiji’s Central Police Station. Contacts
2. The Police clearance application form must be obtained from the Fiji Police Force office, or else it can be downloaded from the official website. Application Form
3. The application form must be filled with the necessary details.
4. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. If there is any payment intimated by the Police officer, it must be also be paid.
6. The filled application form must be submitted to the authorities in Fiji Police Force Office.
7. The police officer will verify the application and then will issue the Police Clearance to the applicant.
8. The certificate will be issued via post or it can be obtained from the respective Fiji Police Station.

• Citizen proof/Document of National Identity (DNI)
  

Foreign National’s Requirement:

• A copy of your passport while living in Fiji
• A copy of your permit of stay in Fiji, Passport number and Place of issue as well
• Proofs of legal stay (copy of passport held during the said period with respective stamp and seal)

• Letter for requirement
• Valid citizen proof with photo (respective ID’s issued by respective nation)
• Email ID (useful to communicate issues with respect to your application)
• A self-addressed envelope with or without stamps (as required)
• Valid contact number (applicant can be communicated)
• Passport-size photos

Eligibility

• Applicant with valid passport and a valid address proof.
• Applicant must be 16 years and above.
• In case of minors, the application must be submitted by the parent exercising parental authority.
• The current address of the applicant must be same as in the passport and other supporting documents.
• Applicants who are in need of residential status, employment or long term visa or for immigration to a foreign nation.
  

Fees

• Local applicants (Migration and Employment Purposes) - $61.30 (approx. GBP£21.50) with a 1 day fast track service of FJ$122.65 (approx. GBP£43.01)
• Overseas applicants (Migration and Employment Purposes): FJ$102.20 cash/ FJ$112.20 bank draft (approx. GBP£35.85/ GBP£39.35) with a 1 day fast track service of FJ$153.30 cash/ FJ$163.30 bank draft (approx. GBP£53.76 /GBP£57.27).
• Fee/charge varies for case to case. Updated fee requirement will be provided by respective authorities while applying.

Need for the Document

• The Police Character Certificate certifies that the applicant has never partaken in any criminal activity that led to the involvement of the Fijian Police Force.
• The Police Character Certificate is also required when a person applies for an immigration status to other countries.

• You may be mandated to get police clearance certificate, if you want to occupy a sensitive position in Fiji.
