Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To obtain a Class 6 Learner’s Permit, the applicant must visit the Land Transport Authority (LTA) Fiji. Contacts Link
2. The “Application for Learners Permit” form must be obtained from the authorities in the LTA office or else you can download it from the website. Application Form
3. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section.
4. The application form should be filled with necessary details and along with the required documents it should be submitted to the CSO – Customer Service Officer.
5. The CSO will update the application details in the LTA system, and now the application fees must be paid, which is $9.48.
6. After the application fee is made, the applicant will need to take the oral/theory test that is conducted by the driving examiner.
7. The applicant must pass the oral/theory test. (If failed in this, then again have to pay the application fees and appear again for the test).
8. After passing the oral/theory test, the applicant must pay the fees for the learners permit card to the CSO, which is $ 6.63 on total.
9. After paying the fees, the applicant must go to the card printing officer to get the learners permit card.
10. The processing time for getting the class – 6 learners permit card will be intimated to the applicant while applying.

Eligibility

• The get the Class 6 Learners permits, the applicant must be equal or greater than 16 years 6 months of age.
• Also, all the Traffic Infringement notices must be cleared by the applicant. (If there is any)

Fees

• Application fee - $9.48
• Learners permit card - $6.63

Validity

• The validity of the learner’s permit will be mentioned in the learners permit card issued to the applicant.
• The learners permit card must be renewed before the expiry date mentioned in the permit card.
• The learners permit card can be renewed one time for a period of 1 year.
