Fiji - How to Reprint a Birth Certificate

Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Reprint the Birth Certificate, the applicant must visit the either the Post Fiji outlet or the Fiji Registrar office. Contacts

2. The applicant must provide the necessary documents to the authorities in the Fiji Registrar office/ Post Fiji Services.
3. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. After submitting the necessary documents and information, the applicant will be asked to pay the Re-Print of Birth Certificate fee.
5. In Post Fiji Services – Re- Printing the Birth Certificate is $16.35FJ / Copy
6. In Fiji BDM Registrar Office - Re- Printing the Birth Certificate is $10.90 per copy.
7. It will take 1 day to issue the Re-Print of Birth Certificate.
8. After that, the Re-Print of the Birth Certificate will be issued to the applicant.

Apply Online:

1. The Re-Print Birth Certificate can be applied in the Fiji’s e-Services website. Online Portal
2. On the web portal, the applicant must select the “Apply” option under the “Re-Print Birth Certificate” section.
3. Now, the “User Login” page will open.
4. The applicant must create an account by selecting the “Register for an account”.
5. The applicant must use their “Email ID” to create the account.
6. After creating the account, the applicant again have to log in with the “Username” and “Password”.
7. Then the applicant must enter the required number of copies and the “Birth Registration Number”.
8. Then the applicant must select the mode of collection from the options given;
   • “Self-Collection”
   • “By Mail”
9. If “Self-Collection” is selected, set up an appointment to collect the documents.
10. If “By Mail” is selected, fill in your contact details and make the required online payment.
11. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
12. After verifying the documents, the applicant must pay the Re-Print Birth Certificate fee, which is $10.90 per copy.
13. It will take 1 day to issue the Re-Print of Birth Certificate.

Note:
Currently, only the self-collection mode is available. The “By Mail” option is under development and will be available soon.

Apply through Mobile App:

1. The Re-Print Birth Certificate can be applied in the Fiji’s Mobile App Services “DigitalFIJI”.
2. Mobile App – Android.
3. Mobile App – IOS Device.
4. The applicant with an activated e-Profile can use the mobile application to access the e-services for BDM.
5. On the mobile app, the applicant must select the “Re-Print Birth Certificate” section.
6. Now, the “User Login” page will open.
7. If you are a New User, then the applicant must create an account by selecting the “Register for an account”.
8. The applicant must use their “Email ID” to create the account.
9. After creating the account, the applicant again have to log in with the “Username” and “Password”.
10. Then the applicant must enter the required number of copies and the “Birth Registration Number”.
11. Then the applicant must select the mode of collection from the options given;

Eligibility

• The applicant must have the Birth Registration Number to apply for the Re-Print of Birth Certificate.

For Online Registration and Mobile App Registration:

• The applicant should have e-Profile account and Birth Registration Number to apply for the Re-Print of Birth Certificate.

Fees

• In Post Fiji Services – Re- Printing the Birth Certificate is $16.35 per Copy
• In Fiji BDM Registrar Office - Re- Printing the Birth Certificate is $10.90 per copy.

Validity

• The Birth Certificate is valid for lifetime.

• Instead of visiting the registrar’s office and standing in queues, applicants’ can get the service of printing birth certificates in Post Fiji Outlets.

Need for the Document

• A Birth Certificate states the name and sex of a person, it also indicate the time and place of birth, it is issued after you have registered the birth of a child.
