Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Renewal of License to Practice as a Veterinary Surgeon in person, the applicant must approach the MSD Animal Health Office or Veterinary Medicine Directorate.

4. The applicant must Fill out the renewal application to the best of their knowledge and provide all requested information.
5. The applicant should Research the specific requirements to renew their license to practice as a temporary foreign veterinary surgeon in Egypt.
6. Applicants must gather any necessary documents, such as a medical certificate or proof of vaccination and all the required documents as mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
7. The applicant must pay the fee for the renewal of their license. A Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority request.
8. After making the necessary fees, the applicant should attach the payment receipt to the application file.
9. Then the applicant must Submit the renewal application to the Ministry of Health, along with all the required paperwork and fees receipt.
10. The applicant must wait for a response from the Ministry of Health regarding their renewal application.
11. If the applicant's application is approved, the Ministry of Health will send a notification to the applicant.
12. The applicant must visit the Ministry of Health in person to collect their renewed license.
13. After getting the renewed license, the applicant must ensure they comply with the regulations set forth by the Ministry of Health in Egypt.
14. The applicant must participate in any required continuing education or training to maintain their license.
15. The renewal process may take up to 4-6 weeks.

Eligibility

• To be eligible for a license renewal, the veterinarian must have a valid medical diploma from a recognized university, have a minimum of three years of experience in the field, and have a valid Veterinary Syndicate of Egypt membership.

Instructions

• The renewal period for the practice license is from 1st April to 30th June of any given financial year.
• The validity of the license is subject to the holder being up to date on the renewal fees.
• The Council may remove the applicant's name from its register if he/she fails to pay any fee provided for in the veterinary authority Act within a period of six months from the date when it was due.
• Applicants that have acquired an additional qualification or have changed their surname in the past twelve months please contact the office to collect and complete the relevant form.

Need for the Document

• All registered health professionals with the veterinary authority are required to renew their practice license to be able to practice medicine in Egypt.
