Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Obtain Clinical Officer Intern License in person, the applicant has to approach the Egyptian Nursing Journal.
2. Address and contact details can be found in the following Contact link
3. Applicant must obtain the application form from the relevant department.
4. Documents that are needed for this procedure are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
6. Submit the completed forms along with the supporting documents at the respective office.
7. Submit the payment receipt to the respective offices for processing of the licensing application process to begin.
8. At this point the respective officers will go through the application documents to determine their authenticity and if they meet the requirements.
9. Upon completion of licensing process, the authority officers will contact the applicant to collect their Clinical Officer Intern License in person.
10. The whole process is usually completed after a period of five days.
11. The applicant will be required to produce proof of identity when collecting the Clinical Officer Intern License.

• Original School leaving Certificate
• Original diploma results slip/certificate from the respective institution dully signed by the authorized persons
• Original Clinical Officers Council Indexing Identity Card.
• Original Clinical Officers Council Examination Results Slip dully signed by the authorized person.
• Original National Identity Card/Passport.

Eligibility

• Trained/ qualified Clinical Officers who require undergoing practical supervised training and mentorship in an approved internship centre in order to obtain registration and a license to practice as a clinical officer are eligible to make the application.
• These include:
• All Clinical Officers who have completed basic training course in Clinical Medicine and have passed the Council pre-internship examination.
• All Clinical Officers who have completed a higher diploma in Clinical Medicine and surgery (Reproductive Health).

Fees

• Application for licence fees: EGP 5,000;

Validity

• The validity period is one year.

• All applicants who meet the criteria will be issued with an internship license, logbook, and code of professional conduct at a fee prescribed by the Council which is a mandatory requirement before commencement of internship.
