Apply In-Person:

  1. Approach your area local Electricity office personally and consult with the authority for your need. They will suggest you with the correct main/division office to contact and apply for Electricity (EB) connection.
  2. Use below link to get contact details of respective division / Sub division:  contact Info AND Toll free number: 1800 270 5551 to locate the respective office.
  3. Go to respective office and meet the respective authority with the available documents. On their advice, collect the form and initiate the process to apply.
  4. Applicant shall get the form from the respective office (please pay for the form if required) or can download the form from the following link Link use the appropriate form.
  5. Once the application is filled, and then submits it along with required document to the concerned authorities at the respective office. (must include licensed electrical contractor intended to do wiring)
  6. Authorities will verify the submitted documents; if all the documents are in place then authorities will advise the customer to pay the fee for this procedure.
  7. Once payment is made, a receipt will be issued to the applicant. Keep it safe for future reference.
  8. This application will be subjected for internal processing and a technician will inspect the premises on a scheduled date at the presence of applicant.
  9. At the end of the survey, technician will mark the place for meter to be fixed and also entry of supply mains and other equipment to be fixed. He will also fill the survey report.
  10. If the report shows feasible condition to provide supply, then applicant gets intimation about the sanction.
  11. In case applicant fails to comply within a respective period as per norms from the date of power sanction, the power sanction as well as registration shall stand cancelled.
  12. If the report shows non feasibility, applicant will be asked to bear the extra cost for providing viable condition as advised by department.
  13. Now approach the office to get the charges for service line, cost of meter equipment, initial security deposit, etc. Make appropriate payment and obtain the receipt along with application number.
  14. Once all the above said procedures are complete, the electricity department will issue the work order.
  15. Thereupon the concerned Junior Engineer/Assistant Engineer will arrange to provide the power supply.
  16. Applicant has to submit the Test report with the help of licensed electrical contractor followed by provision of Electrical connection and the pole will be installed.

Note: Low Tension (LT) and High Tension (HT) are two different supply categories

  1. To apply online for temporary connection supply navigate to the link: Link
  2. In the given page, please select “Online services” menu to get next page.
  3. Here select the option and enter the prompted details. Once all the above steps are done, please hit “Click here to verify” tab at the bottom to get a popup stating an link is sent to the email id just provided and asks applicant to follow the link.
  4. Please use the link in the email to reach power application form. Complete the form requirements and upload required documents as prompted. Once all the form details are filled then hit “Submit” to submit the application for connection.
  5. Applicants are requested to save the outcome of the application like receipt of acknowledgement for further reference.
  6. This submitted application will be processed further. Notification from department (through SMS or over phone) for further process will reach applicant.
  7. Applicant shall go to the respective office with the printout of application along with other documents and follow the guidelines to get the connection.


Apply through Centres:

  1. To apply for a temporary electricity supply in Daman & Diu, the applicant shall visit the nearest CSC/Tehsil Centre. Find contacts to CSC centres in the link provided:Link
  2. Procure the mandatory application form from the concerned centre and fill it up with the necessary details required for the electricity supply.
  3. Make sure to attach all the "Required Documents" along with the application form before submission.
  4. Provide authorized signatory and photograph, wherever applicable.
  5. Make the requisite payment required for the process (if applicable).
  6. Now, submit the application to the office of the concerned centre and obtain the acknowledgement slip.
  7. After successful verification, the temporary electricity will be supplied by the concerned authority.

  • Proof of ownership (Sale deed, katha, succession certificate, sanctioned plan from local authority.)
  • Indemnity Bond as per format supplied by the electricity company, if you are not the owner of the premises
  • No objection certificate (NOC) from the owner(If the applicant is tenant or lessee)
  • Proof of permanent residential address (Ration card, PAN, telephone Bill, Insurance policy bond, voters identity card etc.)
  • Clearances for establishment from the Pollution Control Board concerned where applicable .( residential / residential-cum-commercial premises of more than 100 flats)
  • Self- certification for electrical installation of the premises of the consumer for which new connection is being applied for or the test results duly signed by the licensed Electrical Contractor
  • Requisite Earnest Money as advised
  • Proof of occupation or ownership of a premises through any one of the documents (Passport / Voter Identity Card / Rent Bill / Telephone Bill / Municipal or any other Tax Bill / Ration Card / Certificate from Panchayat)
  • The detailed list of electrical equipment’s with number and corresponding wattages
  • For LV & MV consumers, a sketch of new line required for service connection showing the premises from existing LV & MV line is required to be submitted by the intending consumer. (licensed electrical contractor will be helpful)
  • NOC from local administration (assessment and collection department - no due & litigation free)
  • NOC from respective department for digging (if applicable)
  • Test Certificate of metering equipment, if consumer supplies the same.
  • Land Paper
  • Aadhar Card
  • Photograph of the applicant
  • Contact number
  • Consents / Authorizations / Approvals wherever applicable.
  • Service Connection Agreement, if applicable.
  • Consent of the owner of the property if the proposed service line has to pass through the property of some other persons

Processing TimeEdit

The date of availing the temporary supply may be got amended by the consumer, by applying to the authority who has issued the orders before the commencement date indicated in the order. However, any alternate date proposed shall commence within 15 days of the date of the first order.
