1. Go to any office of the Civil Registry.
2. Request to enter the record.
3. Present and submit the required documents.

Registration of Trailers and Semi-trailers

• certificate of registration
• notarized photocopy of the certificate

First Registration of Trailers or Semi-trailers

• invoice stating the procurement and payment of taxes
• customs documents
• credit note if registration is made ??from a customs document
• a request for modification of customs document

• year of manufacture
• color (only if indicated)
• load capacity, number and arrangement of the axes indicating the number of wheels per axle
• body type
• gross vehicle weight
• number or identification numbers (chassis number and/or VIN)

Need for the Document

The National Register of Road Freight is established to keep the information of all trailers, semitrailers, trucks and tractors, and ensure that the Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) is equal to or greater than 3,860 kilograms.
