Procedure

By person

• First you have to go to the civil registration.
• You must bring your ID which contains the RUN number, and if you dont have it yet, you can bring the marriage certificate.
• You must pay the fees that required (if that is the case)

Online

• You have to enter to the Chilean civil registration page.
• In the section: certificates you would find many certificates that you can apply, some of them are for free.
• You need to know your RUN number, your Email and your address. Even other person can do it for you.
• Since the firm is electronic for all the people who have an ID, the certificate is generated immediately.
• Then the certificate is send it to you by email.

You can apply online trough the Chilean civil registration page, this only takes a few minutes and it would be send it to you by email.

• You can buy a birth certificated for all purposes.
• The births certificates do not contain the time of birth, for that you have to ask for a copy of the tab of birth.
