Procedure[edit]
Apply In-Person
- To apply for the Phytosanitary Certificate in Chile approach the origin or those have been inspected at the point of departure.
- The multiport system must be used for the process.
- Make sure you have all the documents mentioned in the “Required documents” section ready with you for the process.
- Submit all the documents to the designated authority.
- When the processing is requested, the certificate will be delivered the next business day.
- If the document is required for the same day it is requested, it must be processed in an authorized manner.
Apply Online
- To apply for Phytosanitary Certificate, Applicant shall navigate to the “online system” link of Agricultural and Livestock Service portal: Link
- Enter the username and password and click on accept. Create a new account if your company is not registered with the portal.
- Click on "application for issuance of Phytosanitary certificate": Link
- Attach the required background information and fill in all the details.
- As a result of the process, you will have requested the issuance of a phytosanitary export certificate.

Required Documents[edit]
- Commercial invoice
- Import permit
- Consignment details
- Product dispatch sheet inspected and approved .
- Phytosanitary import permit (PFI) , in cases of mandatory presentation or re-export
- Letter of responsibility when appropriate in accordance with the provisions of the SAG procedures.
- Phytosanitary certificate with which the product entered Chile, which must be endorsed by the point of entry in case of re-exports.
- Certificate of customs destination (CDA) and inspection report of agricultural products (IIPA), in case of re-exporting products authorized to enter Chile without phytosanitary certificate.
- If necessary, another document indicated in the respective protocol, work plan or agreement signed with the destination country.

Validity[edit]
- Certificate is valid per consignment. The phytosanitary certificate does not have an established duration or validity. In general, its validity expires when the shipment loses its integrity.
