Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To register as a Tourist Operator, applicant has to visit the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board.

3. Application form can be downloaded from the below link: Travel agent Application
4. Now complete the form with necessary information and make sure you have all the documents in hand that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. After filling the form, attach the documents mentioned in the required documents section below with the completed application form.
6. Check the application form and then submit it to the Managing Director in Chhattisgarh Tourism Board address mentioned in the office locations & contacts section below.
7. Now the authorities will verify your application and validate the submitted documents.
8. Chhattisgarh Tourism Board authorities will inspect the facilities that are related to the touring company and if they are satisfied with the standards followed the authorities will provide a franchise permission.
9. The applicant will be later requested to collect the Tour Operator License on a specified date.

Apply through Centres:

1. To Register as Tour Operator Or Travel Agent License, the applicant shall visit the nearest CSC/Tehsil Centre. Find contacts to CSC centres in the link provided:Link
2. Procure the application form from the concerned centre and fill it up with the necessary details required for the process.
3. Make sure to attach all the "Required Documents" along with the application form before submission.
4. Provide authorized signatory and photograph, wherever applicable.
5. Now submit the application to the office of the concerned centre.
6. On successful verification, the applicant will be notified by the CSC centre.

• Action membership proof (Travel Agent Association of India (TAAI), India Association of Tour Operators (IATO)
• PAN card and GST.
• Proof of bank account in the name of firm.
• Address proof (Telephone/ Electricity bill)
• Registered copy of the professional tax with commercial department.
• Service tax number
• 2 Photographs (Inside and Outside Post card & Requisition Letter from the Applicant)
• Proprietor/Partnership ID Proof.
• Gumashta Certification or Shop and Establishment Certification (Nagar Nigam Registration /Local body)
• Application for registration on letter head of the firm.

Eligibility

• The applicant must be a registered company or Partnership Firm
• The applicant should have a Permanent Account Number (PAN) and should have Service Tax Number.
• The applicant must maintain office area clean and neat, and maintain all necessary equipment with internet connection.
• Office should be registered under Shops and Establishment Act.

Fees

Registration fees of Rs.1000/- (Rupees One Thousand Only) to be paid in the form of DD/Bankers Cheque in favour of MD, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board at the time of registration.

Validity

Registration will be valid for a period of 3 years from the date of registration.

Instructions

• The approved applicant would have option to book Chhattisgarh Tourism hotels and package tours through online, on provide user credentials.
• This registration will be valid for a period of 3 years from the date of registration and should be renewed at least one month prior to the date of expiry after paying Rs.1000/- (Rupees One Thousand Only) only as renewal fees.
• In case of any changes related to the address, or any other important detail contained in this application should be duly informed to the Head Office of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board.
• All cancellation and postponement should be done through online and charges are as per the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board policy.

Need for the Document

• Tour operator must be registered to avail concessions and incentives from the state and central government.

Information which might help

• The approved applicant should do the minimum sales target per year. Falling to achieve the target for consecutive years, applicant should be disqualified resulting in termination.
• 15% commission will be paid separately after submitting the bill and payment of booking details on monthly basis.
• Tour operator is one who makes arrangements for transport, accommodation, entertainment and other tourism related activities.
