To apply for Duplicate Fitness certificate in Chhattisgarh the applicant has to approach the RTO office to which his area belongs to.

Also make sure you have all the necessary documents to process the application
The applicant should make sure they are eligible for applying for this procedure
Make sure you have the written complaint on a white A4 sheet of paper
The applicant should bring in their vehicle for inspection.
Present the completed application and documents in the counter and pay the appropriate fee where the officials would start processing your application.

Note: The duplicate Fitness will be marked in Red as “DUPLICATE”.

Application for Duplicate Fitness Certificate (FC) can be applied online through the following link : Application
After accessing the link provided in the above point, please choose option “Vehicle Registration Related Services” located at the bottom of the screen.
On the next screen, please enter the Vehicle Registration Number of the vehicle for which you are applying.
On the next screen, please select the option “Apply for Fitness Renewal/Re-Apply After Fitness Being Failed”
On the next screen you will be prompted for the vehicles chassis number. You can find your vehicle chassis number which is imprinted on the vehicle. If you don’t know where to find the chassis number, please enter your vehicle make or model and search online, you will be able to find information related to where you can find it.
After entering the chassis number of your vehicle, please click on the button beside it
In the next screen you will be requested to enter your mobile number to which an OTP will be sent for validation. Please enter your mobile number and press button “Generate OTP”.
A OTP will be send to your mobile number that you entered, enter the OTP on the “Enter OTP” text box and press button “Show Details”.
Next screen will provide you with various applications that can be made for your vehicle, please choose the appropriate and proceed accordingly.

Apply through Centres:

To Obtain Duplicate Vehicle Fitness Certificate (FC), the applicant shall visit the nearest CSC/Tehsil Centre. Find contacts to CSC centres in the link provided:Link
Procure the application form from the concerned centre and fill it up with the necessary details required for the process.
Make sure to attach all the "Required Documents" along with the application form before submission.
Provide authorized signatory and photograph, wherever applicable.
Now submit the application to the office of the concerned centre.
On successful verification, the applicant will be notified by the CSC centre.

ValidityEdit

In case of Private vehicles the fitness certificates is valid for 15 years and there after renewed at every 5 years
In case of Transport Vehicles the fitness certificate is issued for a new vehicle for 2 years and subsequently renewed every year

Need for the DocumentEdit

Fitness Certificate is an official document certifying that the holder’s vehicle is fit to drive at public places. As this certificate is a very important document in renewal of permits. One has to get the duplicate of the FC as and when he found that he has lost / misplaced / torned.
The registration of vehicle is treated as valid only if the vehicle has valid certificate of fitness. Fitness certificate for a vehicle in Chhattisgarh is required to renew the current status of the vehicle
The fitness is checked and certified by the Registering Authority.
Fitness certificate is issued to check the pollution caused by the emission of smoke from the vehicles, to maintain the vehicle in proper condition and to avoid accidents
