Apply In-Person

  1. In order to obtain caste validity certificate, applicant shall go to the respective Tehsil / Revenue / SDM Office OR the respective office of “department of welfare for backward classes”as applicable.
  2. Link for contact details : online link please select “About Chhattisgarh” menu option and click “The district” sub option to get the next page with list of district. Here select the link against respective district name to reach the respective district portal in new page and click “The Directory” > “public utilities” > “municipality” option to get the page for respective contact details.
  3. Application form can be obtained from the office while applicant visits. OR Applicant shall write an application on a A4 paper.
  4. Submit the completed application form along with required documents to the respective authority.
  5. Authorities after checking the attached documents and details submitted, will process for issuing the certificate.
  6. Duly stamped, signed Certificate will be issued as per notified period.



Apply Online:

  1. To Obtain caste validity Certificate, the applicant shall visit the website in the link provided:Link
  2. The applicant shall log in through the web portal mentioned under the "Login" option and provide the required information for the process.
  3. After login, the applicant shall choose an appropriate option to obtain the certificate and proceed further.
  4. The applicant shall fill up the application form with all the necessary details on a newly opened page and complete the given application form.
  5. Now the applicant shall upload scanned copies of all the "Required Documents" for further processing.
  6. Once the documents are uploaded, provide the mobile number and enter the received OTP.
  7. Now click on "Submit" and complete the process.
  8. On successful verification, the certificate will be issued by the authority.
  9. Obtain the certificate from the concerned office or the portal.



Apply through Centres:

  1. To Obtain caste validity Certificate, the applicant shall visit the nearest CSC/Tehsil Centre. Find contacts to CSC centres in the link provided:Link
  2. Procure the application form from the concerned centre and fill it up with the necessary details required for the process.
  3. Make sure to attach all the "Required Documents" along with the application form before submission.
  4. Provide authorized signatory and photograph, wherever applicable.
  5. Now submit the application to the office of the concerned centre.
  6. On successful verification, the applicant will be notified by the CSC centre

  • Father's caste certificate. (If not available then provide ‘no caste certificate’ on bond paper as advised)
  • Caste validity certificate of relatives. ( if already caste certificate verified is available.)
  • 1950′s proofs of caste for SC/NT,1953′s proofs of caste for ST/NT[A/B/C/D],1967′s proofs for OBC/SBC/EBC.(if available from ancestors)

Need for the DocumentEdit

  • Community Certificate is also known as caste certificate. Community certificate is a legal proof of community that the person to whom it is being issued belongs to reserved community like scheduled caste, scheduled tribe and other backward classes.
  • Caste certificate is an important certificate to avail certain benefits provided by Government for the socially backward communities in education and employment opportunities for their betterment.
  • Students especially require the caste certificates to secure their seat in institution and validity certificate will be required to prove the authenticity.
  • This is valid for securing admission in all Educational Institutions and other professional institutions and also for employment.

Information which might helpEdit

  • An individual cannot change his / her caste once he/she issued the caste certificate. However, while converting into another religion, the class may change necessitating a new caste/community certificate.
NOTE : It is a punishable offense to try with fraudulent documents to get a community certificate
