Apply In-Person:

  1. A person desirous of making a complaint about water quality in Chandigarh must visit the concerned Chandigarh Municipal Corporation office in the district. Click on the following link to find the address of each district: Link
  2. Write down the complaint in a detailed manner on white paper. Fill in your name, contact details, address and duration of issue.
  3. Attach documents or pictures of proof, if any.
  4. Duly sign the letter and submit it along with proof (if any) to the officer incharge in the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation office.
  5. No fee is required for this procedure.
  6. The time limit for each complaint varies according to the credibility and importance of the complaint.
  7. Any step taken towards the complaint will be notified via Email/SMS/Letter.



Apply Online:

  1. Visit the following portal: portal.
  2. Citizens can register grievances, provide feedback or seek guidance for utilizing any schemes of PHED.
  3. Grievance Redress Cell Agents will register the complaint in the System and provide a unique registration number to the complainant for tracking.
  4. This information will also be sent through SMS to the complainant on their mobile number.
  5. Depending on the nature of the complaint, the system will forward the information to the concerned official.
  6. If solved within the stipulated time period, the status of the grievance is updated either through the system or call centre executive.
  7. If not solved, it is escalated to 1st Escalation Authority or 2nd Escalation Authority or 3rd Escalation Authority through the system.
  8. If solved within the stipulated time period, status is updated either through the system or call centre executive.



Apply through Centres:

  1. To apply through centres, the applicant has to visit the respective “CSC” centre. Please tap on the following link to locate the centre according to the respective district: link.
  2. It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
  3. The operator will process the application online.
  4. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement.
  5. The status, viz. Approval or Rejection if any, will be conveyed to the applicant through an SMS.
  6. If verified, the complaint will be resolved in a stipulated period of time.
