Procedure

• The “Chandigarh Teacher Eligibility Test (CHD TET)” is conducted by the Department of Education to determine the eligibility of candidates as teachers in government or private schools.
• There will be an official notification release by the respective board for CHD TET. On the issue of notification, the deserving candidates shall apply to register for the CHD TET.

Apply Online

1. The candidate shall use the following link to reach the respective portal to apply online Link
2. In the given home page, please look for the CHD TET Registration link.
3. On selecting the link, the applicant will reach a new page. Please follow the new page prompts to register to get the User ID and password in the applicant’s Email ID.
4. The applicant shall revisit the home page and use the login credentials as appropriate bat the appropriate prompts and click on the applicable button to login.
5. Once login, please complete the online application prompts as appropriate.
6. Once the mandatory details are filled in, the applicant shall upload the photograph and signature sing the applicable prompt as appropriate.
7. Once the documents are uploaded, please pay the required application fee by using the online payment gateway page.
8. Please process the payment gateway page as per the online payment option as applicable to complete the submission of application. Also, the online application form will be provided for the user to download or save for future use.
9. This application will be processed by the respective department. Once the department approves the application, the applicant will get intimation and the admit card will be provided as per applicable norms.

Eligibility

• The candidate should be the citizen of India.
• The age limit for the candidates is 18 Years to 40 Years.
• For those who belong to SC, ST, and OBC, age relaxation in the upper age limit is 5 Years.
• Candidates should be class 12 passed or a graduate from a recognized university with a minimum of 45 per cent marks.
• Candidates should have obtained a Diploma in Education or Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) or completed any other prescribed teacher training programme/course.

Fees

• The TET application fee is prescribed by the respective exam bodies.

Validity

• The approved application is valid for the period (year) for which the examination is notified.
