Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. To Adopt Zoo Animal in chandigarh, the applicant has to approach the Zoo Office.
2. The address of the Zoo in chandigarh can be obtained from the “Office Locations and Contacts” Section of this page.
3. After visiting the office, applicant has to approach the Zoo office to obtain the Adoption form.
4. Choose an Animal for Adoption and level of support.
5. After entering the necessary details, submit the form at the Zoo office.
6. Pay the appropriate fees at the Zoo office.
7. Once payment is transferred successfully, Adoption certificate will be issued.

Apply Online :

1. To apply for adoption, the applicant has to visit the following site: portal.
2. In the dropdown menu, select “Animal Adoption”, click on “Adopt Online” button.
3. Select the animal and period of adoption, then click on “Add to list” and “Proceed to Payment” button.
4. The applicant will be redirected to a payment gateway to fill the necessary details..
5. Then click on the “Pay now” button to make payment through online mode.
6. Follow the further instructions on the notification address.

Privileges of Adopting a Zoo Animal:

• All Adoptions are eligible for Income Tax deduction under section 80G of the IT Act, 1961.
• Official Certificate of adoption would be granted along with regular updates on the Adopted Animal.
• Complimentary passes four times a year for Zoo visits for a family and five persons.
• Name of the individual/organisation will be displayed in the Zoo premises.
• Adopters will become ex officio members of “Zoo Development Society”.
