Apply In person:
- The issuance of Trading License for Photo booth-Grade I shall be issued to the local authority’s offices, which s under the Ministry of Local Development and Rural Development. Local Authorities’ Offices Contact Details.
- Applicants are required to collect and complete the trading license application form, obtainable at the Local Authority offices or use this link to download Application Form for Trade License
- Applicants will then be required to book an appointment with the health inspector, Physical planners/ Home Economist, and the Fire department, at the District Council office, within the business jurisdiction for a premise visit. The time required by these departments/offices to inspect the premise and issue reports can vary from one day to 1–3 weeks.
- If the inspectors/planner is satisfied with the finding will complete the reports and the client will be issued with an original certified copy of the environmental health report, a zoning report from the physical planner, and a fire clearance certificate for the business premises in question.
- If any modification or upgrading is required, the Corrective Action and Preventive Action Report (CAPA) report will be issued and the client will be required to rectify the problem.
- Upon successful implementation of the CAPA, a follow-up inspection may be conducted by the health inspector/ physical planner/fire inspector to ascertain the effectiveness of the implementation (where applicable).
- The applicant will be required to submit certified supporting documentation as mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page, in addition to the duly completed application form in all respect to the permit/licensing-issuing unit at the District Council office within the business premises jurisdiction. Any omission of these documents will render the registration process incomplete.
- Upon receipt of the application file, the receiving officer will verify if all the necessary information and documentation has been provided and that the applications comply with the selection criteria before registering the application file for assessment and consideration by the Sub-committee and the S&CD Services Committee.
- The client will be advised by the license issuing officer to pay the applicable processing fee, at the cash counter and obtain a payment receipt and an acknowledgment letter will serve as proof of submission of the application and for inquiry referencing if the need arises.
- The local authority shall notify the applicant, in writing, of its decision within 14 days from the date the decision is made, and where the committee decides not to issue the license, it shall state the reasons in such notice.
- If approved, the committee shall within a reasonable timeframe publish a notice in the government gazette for the proposed license to be granted. The notice shall mention the following;
- Specify the name or other particulars of the person or class of person to whom the license is to be granted, state the purpose for the proposed license and indicate the date the such license is proposed to be issued to the successful applicant and,
- Inviting objection to be proposed grant of the license and direct that such objections be lodged in writing within a reasonable timeframe following the date of the notice.
- After consideration of any objection that may arise, the committee will issue the license and make it available for withdrawal by the applicant upon presenting their identity document, and approval letter, and after payment of the license fee at the local authority office where the application was lodged.
- The applicant is issued the Trade License Annual Fees – Payment Form to complete and make payment for the license.
- The license shall be subjected to terms and conditions as the committee deem fit and should be displayed at a conspicuous place in the precincts of the facility.

- Duly completed and signed:
- If the applicant is a business, a copy of the certificate of incorporation.
- If the applicant is an individual or a partnership, submit a certified registration certificate.
- The latest copy of the annual returns form obtained from the Registrar of Companies and Intellectual Property.
- Proof of availability of the business premises (either a title deed, or a written lease agreement).
- A certified copy of a valid National Identity card (Omang) for owners, shareholders or directors who are citizens.
- Certified copy of passport for owners, shareholders or directors who are non-citizens.
- The original or certified copy of physical planner's report validating zoning for the plot upon which the activities will occur. Physical planners are employed by the District Council and should be booked by the applicants to validate zoning.
- The original or a certified copy of the environmental health report for the business premises in question. The report must be completed by health inspectors employed by the District Council and the applicant must book the health inspector for inspection.
- Any other supporting documentation as may be requested by the Authority.

ValidityEdit
- The license is valid for one year from the date of issue unless suspended, cancelled, or evoked by the Authority.
- Application for renewal for the license should be submitted at least one week before the expiration of the current license.
