How to Apply
Apply In-Person

  1. Within seven (7) days after receiving Notice of Rejection (Form K), voters should complete the lower portion of the Notice of Rejection (Form K), which was issued to the applicant {voter} by the Registration Officer, when the application was rejected.
  2. Submit the completed Form K to be verified and deposit BWP 10.00 to the Principal Registration Officer for the appropriate constituency and obtain an acknowledgement receipt.
  3. The Principal Registration Officer will arrange for the appeal to be heard by a court Magistrate and you will be notified of the date and location for the hearing
  4. The voter will then be required to avail him/herself for the hearing to justify his/her appeal and the magistrate will then make a ruling.
    • NOTE; the decision of the Magistrate is final and cannot be appealed further.
  5. If the appeal is successful you will be registered as a voter in the polling station as named in your appeal provided the transfer window is still open.
  6. You will then be issued with a new Voter’s Registration Card by the new registration polling station office against your national identity card and acknowledgement receipt.
  7. If the appeal was successful the BWP 10.00 deposit to the Principal Registration Officer will be refunded, if the appeal was unsuccessful the BWP 10.00 deposit will not be refunded.
