Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. Application form for getting an electrical contractor license is available in the Government of Bihar Power Distribution Company :application.
2. Applicant has to enter all information in the application form.
3. Applicant should make sure to carry photocopies and originals of all needed documents for completing this procedure.
4. Documents that are necessary for this procedure is mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Applicant must attach photocopies of required documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form while submitting.
6. Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per authority’s request.
7. If all above-mentioned procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the license will be issued within 3 months.
8. If there is no information regarding the license is provided by concerned authorities, the applicant can visit the office to know status of their application.

Eligibility

• Applicant must have a 10th pass certificate
• Applicant must be an Indian citizen and must have Bihar residential address.
• Applicant must be above 21 years of age.

Validity

The licence is valid for 65 years of age of the licence holder.
