PROCESS FOR CITIZENS & NON CITIZENS OF BANGLADESH – FOR BOTH WHO LIVE IN BANGLADESH:
I. Apply in person

  1. Applicant should submit an application for the PCC with the police commissioner in order to obtain the PCC.
  2. Link for police commissioner office: link use the details from the link to locate respective office

  4. Submit the completed document along with the required document and pay the charges as required as per authorities advise.
  5. Authorities after accepting the application, will check and verify the details, If all are in place they will issue a token with a serial number mentioning the date on which you can collect the PCC. Please keep it safe for receiving the certificate.
  6. Once the certificate is ready on the notified date (usually 7 days from accepting application) applicant shall receive the certificate by submitting the token which was issued by authorities while applying.
  7. Applicant can receive the PCC delivered at their residence via courier service by paying service charge of Tk20.

Note:

  • Applicant can either submit application by themselves or through any authorized person can submit on their behalf. They should carry their ID proof as well as applicants passport attested copies.
  • Please check with the department for any additional in formation on document requirement.

  5. Submit the completed document along with the required document and pay the charges as required as per authorities advise.

Note:

  • Authorized person should bring in the attested photo copies of applicants passport. The attestation should be done by the officials of the respected Bangladesh Embassy/Bangladesh High commission of the country where applicant is residing.

Note:

  • Individual may apply through local authorized organization nominated as third party in their country.
  • Documentary proof of legal stay in Bangladesh is also required for this process.


Apply online
(Applicable for valid Bangladeshi mobile number holder. It will be used as your Login ID.)

  1. Go to the online portal: link
  2. In the given page click “registration” tab as provided on the left part of the screen to get the online registration form.
  3. Complete the page prompts without any errors especially as per passport and click “continue” tab at the bottom to get the account verification message in the mail id as provided during registration. Please authenticate as per the message through your mail and phone to use the credentials for login.
  4. Go to the home page and click “login” tab provided on the left part of the screen to enter mobile number and password and hit “login” to get the next page.
  5. Next page prompts user for personal details. Fill the prompted details and click “Save &next” tab for next page.
  6. Here please complete the address information as prompted and click “save and continue” tab to get the next page.
  7. User should upload the prompted documents and click ”Save and continue” tab to get the confirmation page of the details entered.
  8. If the provided details are OK, click the box for “final submit” and then hit “Confirm” at the bottom to reach payment page. #Here select the offline tab to get the instruction for paying. Instructions of payee account details, printing challan and other information will be provided here. Please save the provided details .
  9. Please select “scan and click here to upload the challan” option listed at the bottom of the information to get page for uploading paid challan followed by entering prompted details for the page. Finally, hit “upload” tab to return to the instruction page and hit “finish” to get the status page.
  10. Here enter the ref.no as obtained while applied online and mobile number at respective prompts then hit “search” to get the information at tabular column. Click the ref.no provided in the tabular column to get the application printed out.
  11. This request will be processed by the respective department. Sms triggered notification will be helpful in getting the status update. As per notification, user can get the certificate.

Required Documents[edit]

  • Attested photo copies of your passport (attestation should be done by “First Class Government gazette officer”).
  • Proof for the legal stay in Bangladesh.
  • Color copy of the passport to prove the duration
  • Visa color copy for the said duration
  • The main copy of a treasury bill worth Tk500 (submitted in favor of code no-1-2201-0001-2681 in any branches of Bangladesh Bank/ Sonali Bank)
  • Any legal identity card like birth Certificate etc. attested by a first class gazette officer.(In case of “Machine Readable Passports (MRPs)” where the address is not mentioned in the passport)
  • Spain applicant has to include additional 3 copies of attested p.p. photographs and appeal to the Secretary of Ministry of Home Affairs.
  • Applicant must have resided on the permanent or present address mentioned on the passport

Eligibility[edit]

  • Applicant with valid passport and a valid address proof.
  • Age: 16 years and above. For applicants who are not 16 years and above shall apply as per authorities advice
  • The current address of the applicant must be same as in the passport and other supporting documents.
  • Applicants who are in need of residential status, employment or long term visa or for immigration to a foreign nation.
