Procedure[edit]

Apply In-Person:

  1. To apply for the senior citizen certificate, please approach the concerned Additional Deputy Commissioner (administration) office.
  2. Following link provides contact details: online link for district wise ADC can be accessed from the office as located from the above link.
  3. Please go to the respective office to get details for applying and also the application form.
  4. Link for application form: form link
  5. Make sure that you have all the proper documents mentioned in the “Required documents” section below.
  6. Submit the completed form along with the documents to the concerned authority.
  7. This application will be processed internally. Verification of submitted documents will also be carried.
  8. After successful completion, Certificate will be delivered to the applicant through postal or in person as per the applicable norms.
  9. The whole process of issuing the Senior Citizen Certificate will take 7 working days.



Through CSC(Arunodoy)

  1. Use the following link to find the centre. Link: link
  2. Please go the respective office.
  3. Application can be obtained from the authorities (pay for form if required).
  4. Submit the complete application along with required documents to the operator in the centre (if required fees has to be paid as authorities in the centre quote).
  5. Operator will check the details and start to process online using the computer.
  6. Applicant will get the transaction ID for the application made. Please keep it safe for future reference.
  7. This application will be processed by the respective department as per how it will be processed in person.
  8. Applicant will get notification about the status on his registered mobile number provided while applying.
  9. Applicant can get the printout of the certificate from where he/she applied upon notification.

  1. Use the following link to reach online portal. Link: link
  2. In the given page, please select “e-District Citizen Registration” option to get the login page.
  3. If you are a new user, use the “create account” option to register and then login.
  4. Once login, Please use the search by e-form by title and enter senior citizen certificate and hit go to get the form listed.
  5. Applicant should hit online under apply to get next page.
  6. Applicant has to select “submit online” tab to get page with prompts to complete select form, fill the form, upload required documents, payment gateway and acknowledgement sessions to apply online.
  7. Please keep the acknowledgement for future reference.
  8. This application will be processed by the respective department as per how it will be processed in person.
  9. Applicant will get notification about the status on his registered mobile number provided while applying.
  10. Once the certificate is ready, applicant will be notified and issuance of certificate will also be completed through applicable means.

  • Aadhaar card
  • ID card of the applicant (Pension book/ School certificate/ Identity Card issued by competent authority OR Bank passbook with photo)
  • Residential Proof(Ration cards/Valid Passport/Voter ID card)
  • Pan card ( For Monthly Pension above Rs.15,000 per month)
  • Birth certificate / document to prove the age
  • Gaon Burrah Certificate(can be used if ID or residence proof is not available)

Need for the Document[edit]

  • The Government of India provides facilities for citizens above the age of 60 years. In order to avail those facilities one has to get the certificate.
  • The senior citizen certificate will allow the holder to receive numerous benefits like discounts in Railways, Flights and other benefits from the government.


Information which might help[edit]

  • Without cross signature(half on paper and half on photograph) and signature on undertaking, the application will be rejected
  • One has to produce the card to prove the authorities whenever asked for. So, this card must be carried always.
NOTE : It is a punishable offense to try with fraudulent documents to get a Senior citizen certificate
