Arunachal Pradesh - Obtain a Domicile or Residence Certificate

Following are the ways through which you can apply for residence certificate in Arunachal Pradesh.
Apply In-Person:

  1. To apply for the residence certificate approach the Tehsildar officer who is regulated under the Department of District Administration.
  2. Download the form from the link given below: Residential certificate
  3. Make sure that you have all the proper documents mentioned in the “Required documents” section below.
  4. Submit the form to the District Administration office along with the required documents. More details about the District Administration office location is provided in the following link: Administration
  5. Refer the District Administration Office location mentioned in the “Office location & contacts” section below.
  6. After the application form is processed, an enquiry officer will make a thorough verification regarding your proof which you have submitted along with the form.
  7. Collect the acknowledgment slip after submitting the form.
  8. Use acknowledgment slip to obtain residence certificate.

To apply for the residence certificate in Arunachal Pradesh through online follow the procedure given below

  1. Visit the e-services portal by clicking the following link :E-Services
  2. Login into the e-services portal by entering the valid email id and password.
  3. If you are a new user, then login by selecting “new user” option.
  4. After successful login, look for “apply for services” in the left side.
  5. Select “view all available services” option.
  6. Now you can see a list of services.
  7. Select “Application for issuing of Permanent Resident certificate” option.
  8. Click “Proceed to apply” option.
  9. Now the application form page will appear.
  10. Select office where the application has to process.
  11. Enter all mandatory details in the “applicant details” section.
  12. Enter all mandatory details in the “applicant address details” section.
  13. Fill the application details and select the “I agree” option as a declaration.
  14. Enter additional details and click “submit”.
  15. Upon submission, the applicant can see the filled application form to check the entered details.
  16. After verification, the applicant can download the application form by clicking “Export to pdf” option.
  17. Applicant can take a printout and submit it to the concerned authority.

Required Documents[edit]

The following documents are needed to obtain residence certificate

  • Verification document from GB/HGB and Admin Officer
  • Attested copy of Land Allotment Passbook (Urban) of Father/ Guardian corresponding to Permanent Address (Or) Attested copy of Land Possession *Certificate (Rural) of Father/ Guardian corresponding to Permanent Address
  • Attested copy of Father’s PRC
  • Passport-sized Coloured Photo


  • Attested Copy of Birth Certificate
  • Attested Copy of Applicant’s Tribe Resident Certificate
  • Surrendering of previous PRC, in case of Change in Address.
