Apply Online - Permission for Film Shooting through FFO Online with Images

  1. To start your application process, you first need to create an account on the FFO (Film Facilitation Office) website Link
  2. After filling all the necessary details, enter the captcha and click the “Submit” button.
  3. You will be redirected to the Login Page with the message “Your account has been created successfully. Please activate your account by clicking on the link sent on your email.”
  4. Go to your email and click the activation link sent by FFO.
  5. Once you click on the activation link on your email, you will be redirected to the login page again with the message “Your account has been successfully activated.”
  6. Now enter your email ID & password in ‘USERNAME’ & ‘PASSWORD’ textbox and then ENTER captcha as shown in the image. Then click the “Login” button.
  7. Your dashboard will open now.
  8. Click on “Start New Application” button
  9. Now, fill out the application form for seeking permission for film shooting across various States in India.
  10. The next step is to upload the documents. The application form for seeking State level and local permission will ask for the information/documents mentioned on the “Required Documents” section below.
  11. The application form contains three sections such as Production Details, Line Producer and Shooting Details and you are required to fill each section one by one. (You can click the “Save Draft” button whenever you want, to continue the process at a later point of time)
  12. After filling the necessary details and uploading all the documents in the first section – Production Details, click the “Next” button to go the second section – Line Producer.
  13. After filling the necessary details and uploading all the documents in the second section – Line Producer, click the “Next” button to go the third section – Shooting Details.
  14. After filling the necessary details and uploading all the documents in the third section – Shooting Details, click the “Submit” button. Or you can click the “Save Draft” button to save the filled in details and submit the application later.
    Note: Before submitting your application, please ensure all the required documents & information are given correctly, as you cannot make any changes after submitting your application.
  15. After submitting the application, it will be sent to the appropriate State Nodal Officer/s, whose contact information will be sent to you.
    Note: If you want to make any changes after submitting your application, you may communicate them directly to the State Nodal officer, whose details are available on the portal in your dashboard and is also shared with you on email.
  16. Depending on your region, the State Nodal officer/s will contact you regarding the processing of your application and payment of costs. If the Nodal officers of the State/s do not respond, you may contact the FFO office for further information.
  17. Once the permission has been granted for the specified States/UT, the Nodal Officer will upload the Permission letter to the FFO web portal.

Apply Online - Permission for Film Shooting Online With Images

  1. To start your application process, register on Andhra Pradesh State Film Development Corporation Link
  2. Login to your account to go to your dashboard.
  3. Click “Submit New Request” option. The permission form appears.
  4. Fill out the details of the production house and click “Next” button.
  5. “Producer/Applicant Information” section appears. Fill out the necessary details of this section and then click “Next” button.
  6. “Film Information” section appears. Fill out the necessary details of this section title, language, gauge, colour/B&W and category of the film. Then click the “Next” button.
  7. “Artistes Information” section appears. Give the necessary details of all the Artistes involved in the shooting process. To add more Artistes to the list, click “Add Row” button.
  8. At last, fill out the necessary details in the “Location Information” section.
  9. Applicant has to pay caution deposit online.
  10. Submit the application.
  11. After verification of the application, the application is approved by APSFTVTDC. After approval, shooting permission order is forwarded to concerned Departments / PSUs for taking necessary action.
  12. As per recommendations received from APSFTVTDC, concerned Departments / PSUs shall allow the Producers / Agencies of Film / Tv Films to complete their film scenes / songs shooting.

The film producer (or) film director (or) any authorised person shall apply.

FeesEdit

  • Location specific permission fee, if any, have to be made to the respective State authority directly. The State Nodal officer will assist you with this.
  • No fees is applicable for shooting permission in Andhra Pradesh through A.P. Department of Industries website.
  • However, The Producer / Agency has to remit Caution Deposit with the Corporation, which may be refunded after production of shooting completion certificate from the concerned Departments / PSUs. The details of category wise caution deposit are as follows:
    • Category I – INR 15,000
    • Category II – INR 10,000
    • Category III – INR 5,000

Processing TimeEdit

  • Your permission to shoot will be processed by the FFO within three-weeks for non-restricted area. However, you are advised to apply 30 days in advance.
  • The processing time for shooting permission in Andhra Pradesh is 7 working days.

InstructionsEdit

  • You cannot get blanket permission if you do not know where to film yet. Permits are date and location-based, which means that you should tell the FFO exactly when and where you would like to film. They cannot provide the permit without this information.
  • Co-production - If you intend to shoot your film with an international co-producer under the official treaty, you must apply for permission as an international project.
  • Following the completion of the shoot, the FFO shall seek and collect feedback from the applicants regarding their filming experience, including a request for information pertaining to shooting-related data. The applicant is required to submit the feedback form.
  • Following the release of the project, the FFO will seek trailer and high-resolution poster images of the film for display on the FFO Web portal, as well as other marketing collaterals that the FFO may create to promote filming in India.
  • The production must agree to include the Film Facilitation Office logo in the project's final production rolling credits. The official FFO logo can be obtained from the Film Facilitation Office in New Delhi.

  • An ecosystem of Nodal Officers has been established across various State Governments and Union Territories, as well as within key stakeholder Central Government Ministries/Departments (including the Animal Welfare Board of India, the Archaeological Survey of India, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, the Airports Authority of India, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, the Ministry of Railways, Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs etc.) with a view to enable effective governmental collaborations, including the expediting of all shooting permits and the creation of a film-friendly environment throughout the country. The portal provides information on the assigned Nodal Officer for the respective State/Union Territory, as well as its filming policies/guidelines, shooting locations, and other filmic and non-filmic information.

Need for the DocumentEdit

Permission for shooting films is necessary as the shooting process may cause disturbance to the public. For instance, it may cause traffic jams, gathering of large number of people in public places, etc. So, it is indeed necessary for you to seek the permission from the appropriate authorities in India before shooting your film in a particular State/UT in India.
