  1. Assessments are made based on the size of the property and other parameters by the official
  2. Property tax is calculated and collected semi-annually, June for the first half-year and by the end of December for the second half-year
  3. simple interest at the rate of 2% per month is levied. A penalty with property tax is levied on unauthorized constructions.
  4. Tax assessment can be obtained using Property Tax Auto Calculator : Tax Calculator link Please follow as per the page prompt to find the tax
  5. Please use the online service option and choose property tax from the drop down menu to select option of your choice to know the details. Link for portal online page
  6. PAYMENTS CAN BE MADE IN FOLLOWING WAYS…

    2. Puraseva Mobile application : Mobile app link
    3. Citizen Service Centres (physical office spaces created in every ULB exclusively for providing municipal services, payments & grievance redressal)
    4. E-Seva Centres within the Municipal limits : e-seva link


Through Online website (cdma portal)

  1. In order to pay property tax through the online portal in Andhra Pradesh, please use this link: online portal
  2. In the given page click “Online Payments” option from the menu and select “Property Tax” option to get the new screen.
  3. This page displays option to select / enter required information for the property including District, corporation / municipality and payment type.
  4. Please select appropriately and hit ”Submit” to reach next page.
  5. Next page prompts user to enter the property tax details, please enter correct details and hit search to reach subsequent page.
  6. User will get the details of property tax as per assessment number. Check the details. If the details are OK, please hit “Pay Tax “ option to reach the payment page. (Also an option View DCB is provided for user to view the report and print it to make offline payment)
  7. Please proceed with the page prompt and continue to process the online payment.
  8. User will have to use respective payment gateway option (credit /debit /net banking) to make the payment. Use applicable details to fill in requirement of the page and select appropriate option to make payment online.
  9. User will get the acknowledgement for the transaction. Please save for the future reference

Through E-Seva Centres within the Municipal limits.

  1. Please use this link to reach the page: online portal link
  2. Click on "House tax online payment".
  3. You will be prompted to enter user Id and password. If you are a new user then you have to create one to access the facility.
  4. Once you login, Please follow the screen prompt and fill or enter applicable details and hit respective button to reach online payment window.
  5. In the online payment window, please select appropriate options and proceed with payment gateway option to complete the payment.
  6. Please save the acknowledgement for future use.

Apply In-Person

Through Citizen Service Centres (Puraseva Centers)
  1. User shall approach Purvaseva centres (exclusively for providing municipal services, payments & grievance redressed) in municipal office to pay their property tax in person. Link for centre: Link for centre
  2. Make sure you have the details and required documents to pay property tax
  3. Go to the Purvaseva counter and submit the details to the counter staff. He will process the details submitted and announce the amount to be paid.
  4. Make the payment and get the receipt for the property tax amount paid.

Apply through Pura Seva

  1. To pay Property Tax through Pura Seva, the applicant has to use the following link - link

  1. To Pay Property Tax, the applicant has to download the app from the following link – link
  2. The applicant has to click the “Municipality payment”.
  3. The applicant has to select the respective corporation from the list.
  4. The applicant has to enter the property ID and other minor details and then click the “Get Tax Amount” button.
  5. Now the amount will be displayed in the screen and click the “Proceed to pay” button.
  6. The applicant has to select the payment method.
  7. Enter the payment details and click the “Pay” button.
  8. The applicant can check the payment summary after the payment gets successful.
  9. The processing time for this procedure is complete within few minutes.

  • The property tax amount is calculated based on the residential area. So, it varies from one property type to other.
  • Property tax for a building is calculated based on
    • Basement area
    • The rate prevalent in the street where the property is located
    • Usage of the building (residential or non-residential access)
    • Type of occupancy (owner or tenant)
    • The total span of the building’s existence.

ValidityEdit

The property tax paid is valid for one year. Every year, you should renew it. (In certain place the tax will be collected for six months too)

Need for the DocumentEdit

  • Property tax or 'house tax' is a local tax imposed on owners of an apartment, land and building by the Government. The governing authority of the jurisdiction levies the tax to the owner in which the property is located.
  • Property tax clearance is required for most of other service like Water, Sanitary, Electricity connection etc.
  • Owners of residential properties are liable to pay property tax to respective department on a specified period of time and has to be paid regularly (period can be 6 months or one year in respect to the state).
  • Tax Exemption is applicable for selected citizens / organizations (Educational Institutions, Charitable institutions, Ex-serviceman / In-service man, retired pensioners association, NGO Homes/Teachers Association Buildings) as applicable.

  • All residential and commercial (non-residential) properties are assessed for tax.
  • The information about all the new constructions, existing construction and improvements to the property must be provided to the respective Department of the state to make necessary changes to tax assessment.
Note: There will be strict action against the defaulters. It is advisable to pay the tax on time to avoid such situations.
