Those who wanted to start a money lending business should have to apply for a money lender licence to carry on business of money lending.
Through Meeseva
- Applicant shall apply through the MeeSeva centers. This request can be accessed by the Thaasildhaar and processed.
- Application form can be collected from Meeseva center. Following link can provide you information related to nearest Meeseva Centers: link
- Applicant can download form from the following link: link
- Applicant has to submit the required documents along with a filled application form to the Meeseva operator. Meeseva operator will process the application. On completion of online filing, application number will be given to applicant for future reference #Applicant will receive transaction code in his registered mobile while applying.
- The online details will be processed by Thaasildhaar.
- This application will be processed further.
- If the applicant’s details are matching the norms and the place for which license sought is also approved, applicant gets intimation for the rest of the process.
- Please follow the department’s guidelines in getting the sanction and obtain license.

- Applicant has to fill the application number and transaction id to know the current status of his application in the following link: link
- All applicant has to follow the respective state money lenders act rules and regulations.
- The Interest rate and tenure for the loan should be fixed as per state government norms.

Apply In Person
- To Apply for money lender (loner) license, the applicant has to approach their district Sub Divisional Officer tahsildar/assistant tahsildar/naib tahsildar office link
- Note: The applicant has to Select their respective district to find nearby Office to them.
- An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
- The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
- Make sure that the applicant has to attach all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
- Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
- The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
- After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. #If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
- An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference, it contains the application summary and contact details of the person to be contacted.
- Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
- Once the process gets completed successfully, the applicant gets the Certificate with the authority's signature through email.

- Age : 18 years and above (If minors are applying then apply through a guardian)
- Citizen of India
- Applicant should not knowingly participated in or connived at any fraud or dishonesty in the conduct of or in connexion with the business of money-lending
- The applicant should not have got his/her licence cancelled within last six months or the prescribed period before the date of current application.
