Following are the ways through which you can apply for birth certificate in Andaman and Nicobar.

Apply In-Person:
Registration of birth

  1. To apply for the birth certificate, approach the office of births and deaths registration of your district.
  2. Obtain the Application Form from the relevant authority.
  3. Make sure that you have all the proper documents mentioned in the “Required documents” section below.
  4. Submit the form to the office of births and deaths registration along with the required documents. Visit the following link to know about the registration centres Link
  5. Or refer the Office of births and deaths registration location mentioned in the “Office location & contacts” section below.
  6. Collect the acknowledgment slip after submitting the form.
  7. Use acknowledgment slip to obtain birth certificate from the office.

To get duplicate birth certificate

  1. To obtain a duplicate birth certificate, approach the office of births and deaths registration of your district.
  2. Carry all the necessary documents mentioned in the “Required documents” section below.
  3. Get the application form and fill all the mandatory details.
  4. Attach all the documents along with the form and submit it to the office of births and deaths registration.
  5. Refer the Office of births and deaths registration location mentioned in the “Office location & contacts” section below.
  6. Collect the acknowledgment slip after submitting the form.
  7. Use acknowledgment slip to obtain duplicate birth certificate from the office.

Apply Online

  1. To apply for the birth certificate in Andaman and Nicobar through online follow the procedure given below
  2. Click on the link Link to Portal.
  3. In the Registration page, fill it with relevant information and select your location, enter the captcha and click on "Register" button.
  4. After registration, log-in to the portal using the newly created id and password.
  5. After successful login, look for the application form for the birth certificate.
  6. Fill the application with the required details and attach the prescribed documents mentioned in the required documents section below.
    • Note: Please note that the Birth/Death must be reported through this portal within 21 days of the occurrence of the event.
  7. Click on the “Submit” button after completing the details in the application form.
  8. Upon submission, the applicant will receive acknowledgement slip as the confirmation of submission.
  9. After verification, the applicant can obtain birth certificate from the concerned authority with the help of acknowledgement slip.
