Procedure

While hiring a person for domestic help in Andaman and Nicobar, one has to register the employee’s details with the Police for Domestic Help Verification.
Apply In-Person

1. To apply for a Domestic help Verification In-Person, get the Domestic Help Verification form from the nearest police station in Andaman and Nicobar.
2. Visit the following link for the locations and contacts details of the nearest police station: South Andaman Islands,North Middle Andaman Islands, Nicobar Islands
3. In the procured form, fill the required details of the employee (Servant).
4. Provide the complete description of the employee in the section provided for the same.
5. Mention the employee’s friend’s or relative’s information.
6. Provide the voluntary fingerprints of the employee if necessary.
7. Fill in the required details of the employer.
8. Attach a copy of the required documents such as Id Proofs and Passport size photographs.
9. Duly sign and submit the form at the nearest Police Station.
10. The Police would run a background verification and would inform the employer if the person hired is of dubious character.

• Make sure you mention valid details while applying for the Verification. Your application could get canceled if the details furnished are not valid.

• While employing a person for domestic help, it is highly advisable to register their information with the Police to ensure your safety.
• When one registers such information, the police verifies the submitted information, and the employee’s details are stored with the police.
• This protects the employee from involving in any criminal activities in the near future.
• This registration also helps the police to keep the city safe from any terrorists or anti-socials who disguise themselves as servants.
