Apply In-Person

  1. As per an act " application under RTI act 2005" ,The application may be in any format or typed writing through email.
  2. The application should be in English, Hindi or the official language of the area in which application is being made.
  3. Write the application to the Public information officer
  4. Mention your question point wise, avoid asking vague questions, ask direct questions. Avoid using too technical terms or legal jargon
  5. Attach Government RTI Fee in the form of IPO/DD/MO

Apply Online

  1. Click the following link to apply for RTI application :Link
  2. In the newly opened page, enter your name, father/husband's name, mobile number and E-mail id.
  3. Click on the "Next" button.
  4. You'll be taken to the application form page.
  5. The online application can completed in 3 step with
    • Personal Details
    • RTI Details
    • RTI Fees Payment
  6. After the payment, you will get the receipt. Keep the receipt safely for future reference
  7. Get the First appeal within 30 days from the date of the receipt of application.
  8. If concerned officer has taken the help of other official, it will take 45 days in some cases
  9. Incase of no reply given by the first appeal, approach Information commission of Andaman and Nicobar for second appeal

  • RTI Act, 2005 does not provide any specific Format for RTI Application. You can write RTI Application in any Format.
  • experienced RTI(Right to Information) expert will draft your RTI application and send it to the concern PIO(Public Information Officer)

Required InformationEdit

  • Undersign the application
  • take a photocopy for your application for future references.
  • At the end of the application make a declaration that you are an Indian citizen.
