Apply through app:

  1. To Receive Money with TELEBIRR, the applicant has to use the following link to download the app link
  2. The applicant has to click the “Install” button to download the app.
  3. Click on the "Sign Up" or "Register" button within the app to create a new account.
  4. The applicant will be asked to provide the applicant’s personal information, including his/her name, phone number, and email address. Follow the prompts and enter the required information accurately.
  5. After providing the applicant’s phone number during the registration process, the applicant will receive an SMS verification code. Enter the code in the app to verify his/her phone number.
  6. Create a four-digit PIN to secure the applicant’s TELEBIRR account.
  7. This PIN will be required for authentication and accessing the applicant’s account in the future. Make sure to choose a secure PIN that the applicant can remember.
  8. Within the TELEBIRR app, the applicant will have the option to link the bank account to his/her TELEBIRR wallet. This will allow the applicant to transfer funds between his/her bank account and TELEBIRR wallet. Follow the instructions provided in the app to link the applicant’s bank account securely.
  9. Share any additional details required by the sender to initiate the transfer, such as the applicant’s full name or any specific instructions.
  10. Once the sender initiates the money transfer from their TELEBIRR account, they will provide the applicant with a transaction confirmation or reference number.
  11. Open the TELEBIRR app on the applicant’s smartphone and log in to his/her TELEBIRR account using his/her registered phone number and PIN. Check the applicant’s TELEBIRR wallet to verify that the money has been received.
  12. Once the money has been received in the applicant’s TELEBIRR wallet, the applicant can choose to keep the funds there for future use within the TELEBIRR ecosystem or withdraw the money to his/her linked bank account, if applicable.
  13. The specific withdrawal options and processes may vary based on the applicant’s TELEBIRR account settings and available features.
  14. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
  15. The processing time for this procedure is complete within 10 minutes.
