ProcedureEdit

  • Applications can only be done once a vacancy has been advertised.
  • You can check the PSC Website for Vacant Employment Positions.

Apply in Person

  1. Pick an application form from the commission House, or download the Application for Employment form from the Public Service Commission website which can be accessed through the following link. Application for employment form PSC2
  2. Fill the application form
  3. Send the duly filled application form together with the required documents to the PSC headquarters. This can be through one of the following means:
    a) By post to: The Commission Secretary,
    P.O. Box 30095-000100,
    Nairobi, Kenya.
    b) By courier services to commission house, or
    c) By hand delivery to the Commission House in Harambee Avenue , Nairobi Kenya
  4. Wait for the shortlisting process to be completed.
  5. Only successful candidates are contacted after the shortlisting.

Apply in Online

  1. . All first time users of the Online Recruitment and Selection system are required to register by providing ID / Passport Number, Surname, current Email address and a password to access the system. They can access the online platform using the following link. PSC Online Platform
  2. To apply for any advertised employment job opportunities, log into the system using the ID / Passport Number and the Password created in (1) above.
  3. Applicant MUST ensure that information pertaining to personal details, professional and academic qualifications, experience, membership to professional bodies, referees and any other relevant information is provided before submitting the application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
  4. Applicants are advised to print and keep a copy of the Feedback Report (application summary) by clicking on the Report tab or Application Summary link on the Application Menu.
  5. The Online Recruitment and Selection system allows applicants to amend/revisit their application(s) at any time BEFORE the Advert Closure Date.
  6. Wait for the shortlisting process to be completed. In the mean time you can check the status of your application through the following link. check status of your application
  7. Only successful candidates are contacted after the shortlisting.

EligibilityEdit

  • The minimum academic requirements for job postion
  • Any other qualification that may be approved by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of State for Public Service.

  • The application is free of charge

ValidityEdit

  • Prospective applicants have 21 days to respond to the advertisement. Any submissions thereafter are invalid and therefore rejected.

  • The process depends on the urgency of filling up the position, but it normally takes a period of three months for shortlisting and for interviews to be carried out.

InstructionsEdit

  • One can apply for a job only when the commission has advertised vacant posts.
  • Serving officers should first register their personal profiles on the commissions website before making the application for a job online.
  • The shortlisted candidates shall be required to produce their original Identity cards, academic and professional certificates and testimonials during interviews.
  • Serving officers will be required to produce the original letter of appointment to their current substantive post before the interview.
  • Complete all sections of the application form as appropriate in BLOCK letters and submit to the Secretary, Public Service Commission.

  2. Section 100(4) of the Public Service Commission Act 2017 provides that a person who gives false or misleading information to the Commission is, on conviction, liable to a fine not exceeding Kshs. 200,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both such fine and imprisonment
