Apply In-Person
- To apply for a replacement of a motor Vehicle Registration Plate, you should submit your complete application to the Tax office where the Plate was issued.You can view TAJ’s (Tax office) contact details via this link:Link
- Upon noticing that you have lost your vehicle’s registration plate, report the case to the nearest police station immediately and obtain the police report
- Obtain the application form for motor vehicle transaction from the Tax office or download it from their website:Link you can also download the form directly via this link:Link
- Complete the application form correctly and attach all the required supporting documents to it
- Go to the Tax office and pay for the replacement fees at the cashier and obtain the payment receipt
- Then submit the complete application including the payment receipt to the Tax official at the service unit
- The official will verify your documents to determine if the application is complete as required
- Then official will lodge your application in their system and direct you to the plate unit where you will be issued substitute plates.
