Apply Online - Online Payment for Renewal of Driver Licence Online with Images

1. To make online payments for the renewal of your driver’s license, you should submit your application through the Tax Authority Jamaica (TAJ) e-service platform. Please view TAJ’s contact details via this link:Link
2. To complete your renewal payment online, visit TAJ’s website: Link
3. From the home page at the top right-hand side of the page select the option “Client Login” to be directed to the account logging in page
4. Enter your user name and password if you already have an account or click on “Create Account” to setup your account. On the new page, fill the required fields and click on “SAVE”
5. You will then receive a notice thanking you for creating your account, and issue your account password, and that the password has been sent to your email address
6. Now key in your password and sign in, then read and agree to the policy and you will be directed to the next page where you will be asked a password reminder question. Answer the question and click on “Save” then you will be directed into your account’s e-service portal
7. Once in your account scroll to find “Drivers' Licence Renewal Fees”. Read the provided information and click on the hyperlink to open the online form
8. You will be directed to the instruction section/page, read the instructions carefully and click on the “NEXT” button to proceed
9. On this page “Driver’s License”, you will see an image of a driver’s license where you will be shown and required to enter the “TRN”,“Expiry Date”, and “Control Number”in the fields provided and click on the “NEXT” button to proceed to the payment section
10. Pay for the application using the online platform using your valid credit card as directed on the payment page and then submit the complete application
11. Once you have paid, TAJ will begin processing your application and after they receive payment authorization from your financial institution, they will send you two emails:One will contain the Payment Advice outlining details of the transaction and the other will contain information on how you can obtain your receipt. Note that the receipt will also be available for printing via the payment confirmation page.

Eligibility

• Holders of Jamaican driver’s license for General, Private, or Motorcycle are eligible to apply

Fees

• For online payment, you will receive the total fee in your e-service payment portal

Validity

• Your Jamaican driver's license expires every 5 yrs. on your birthday. You can renew it 30 days before it expires

Instructions

• After you have completed your renewal online payment, you must print the payment receipt and submit it to the Tax office along with the required documentation so that your driver’s license can be renewed
