Jamaica - Online Apply for Coffee Workers License

Step 1 : First one has to make sure that all the required documents are in hand to apply online. If you would like to know about the documents that are required for this procedure, please visit the following link : Required Documents to Apply for Coffee Workers License
Step 2 : To apply for a Foreign importer’s license of Coffee using the online application form, visit the Jamaica Agricultural Commodities Regulatory Authority (JACRA) website: Apply Online.
Step 3 : Once on the website, click on “RESOURCES” which is highlighted in “Red” to open the hyperlink and select “FORMS” which is highlighted in “Green” in the below image to go to the forms page.

Step 4 : Scroll down to find “Application for Works Licence” and click on it which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image to open the online form.

Step 5 : Read the information provided and prepare the required documents ready for upload.

Step 6 : Complete the online application form providing the required details. Remember to select “New” under the “Type of Application” section which is pointed out by a “Red” arrow in the below image.

Step 7 : Once you have completed the form and uploaded all the required supporting documents, Put a tick mark on “I accept the Terms in the Statement below” Which is pointed out by a “Green” arrow and click on “SUBMIT FORM” which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

Step 8 : Upon submitting your application, the JACRA will contact you to inform you if your application is successful or if they require more details from you to complete the application.
Step 9 : If your application is complete and meets the required standards, you will be notified that processing of the application will begin. If not, you will be notified of the requirements to be satisfied for the application to be processed.
Step 10 : The complete application will be forwarded to the Quality Assurance Department who will conduct due diligence on your premise and equipment and write a report based on the inspection.
Step 11 : If the premise and equipment meet the required standards, the application and report will be forward to the Internal Review Committee who will check the elements of the application and send it to the National Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA) for approval.
Step 12 : Then the Internal review Committee will recommend the application for approval and send their recommendation to the Board Licensing Committee for consideration.
Step 13 : The Board will approve the application and you will be notified by JACRA of the successful approval and required to pay the license fee.
Step 14 : Upon payment of the fee, the Coffee Works License along with the Terms and Conditions and, reporting requirements will be issued to you.
NOTE : If your application is unsuccessful, you will be given written reasons for the refusal along with a refund of JMD 5,000.00. If this happens, you can appeal to the Chairman of the BOA.
