Apply Online - Obtain Veterinary Import Permit (Online) Online with Images

  1. The Veterinary Service Division (VSD) is a division under the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries and it is involved in import and export inspection of live animals, meats, and meat products among other services offered by the VSD. You can view the VSD contact details via the contacts provided in the “Office Locations & Contacts” section below
  2. To Obtain the Veterinary Import, you should submit your application online using the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Trade System (MOATRADE). Visit the MOATRADE website: Link
  3. On the website, enter your User name and Password to log in if you already have an account or click on the “Not yet registered” option to be directed to the central registration system
  4. Provide the User information, Personal Information, Contact Information, account details, and select “Ministry of Agriculture & Lands” under “Agency Selection” Then click on “Continue” to go to the next page
  5. Choose the permit type i.e., Veterinary import, and submit your application for processing
  6. Upon submission of the application, an email will be sent to your address advising you of the approval and how to proceed
  7. Log into your MOATRADE account and on your Dashboard under “VETERINARY IMPORT”, click on “Apply for Import Permit from Veterinary Services Division” to go to the Import permit online form
  8. Enter the required details including the; Taxpayer registration details, Consignee Name, and the Consignor Country and select additional items from the Item box and click on “Continue” to submit your application
  9. Then pay the application fee online using a debit or credit card or at the Cashier located at the Veterinary Services Division, MICAF 193 Old Hope Road, and Kingston 6
  10. Then the VSD will complete processing your import permit and issue it to you
